Is this packaging authentic? Are these reproductions or family heirlooms?
@kay46754 жыл бұрын
@@karolynsmiley4713 I did a bit of searching and the paint pallet swatch thing appears to be authentic. I'm not sure about everything else but the second rouge shown is from Besame cosmetics (retailing for $20 on their website) which makes historically inspired and historical reproduction makeup. If it has a date next to it they likely pulled the color from a vintage product (this mostly applies to the lipsticks) or the years it was commonly used (things like cake mascara which was so common and kinda only one color). I personally have tried their water activated cake mascara and liked it a lot. Everything is made in California with sustainable labor, and everything is vegan as well. Obviously, their makeup isn't exactly the same as some previous ingredients definitely shouldn't be used on skin and they are paraben-free but those are really just upgrades, highly recommend them! edit: the lipstick and mascara are also Besame

I love these videos. I used to love flipping through Avon catalogs and picking stuff out, even though I was like eight and didn't need any of it. I don't even know if they print those anymore, but I'd love to get my hands on some and feel the nostalgia... I really liked this video and your character was so gentle and friendly. I love the Avon series as a whole, but this one might be my favorite era so far!

They still print them I started selling Avon last year as a side hustle and all the ladies at my regular job love the catalogs

Anyone else find themselves wandering over to the Avon website? No?... just me then?

I was so immersed in the video that I actually forgot they have a website and don't just do door to door anymore. But now that I have read your comment I do feel the urge to check the website !

Not a good idea, it preys on vunerable people with a business model that drains it's sellers of all their money. Avon used to be empowering but now it's garbage, and shady garbage at that.

@@starscream8388 Avon is still popular here in Brazil for some reason! Never thought their products were bad, but they're definitely an MLM.

I’m very particular about ASMR and you’ve checked everything on the list. Attentive without being invasive. Kind, warm tones. Just enough trigger sounds. And your clearly researched look and themed conversation is a bonus. Beautiful work Saraity. You put my mind at ease.

My first lipstick was Avon, and I loved it...it was a light peach 🍑 and my neighbor gave it to me, said her it didn’t flatter her granddaughter.

Where did you get all this vintage avon goodies? Or what inspired you to do this series??
@PeaceandSaraity4 жыл бұрын
I get all my vintage goodies from ebay, etsy or local antique shops! I was inspired to make these videos because my grandmother and mother were both avon representatives and I always found that world fascinating. The samplings, catalogues and avon gatherings. It has always brought me good memories.

This brings back childhood memories, now, I wasn't a child in 30's of course , but in early 2000's my godmother used to be Avon sales woman and she used to visit our home often and let me play with some makeup.
