its like jaby cant see allegories. he just takes what he sees as all it can be. "i cant relate to this cause my dad didnt force me to kill someone". trauma is trauma and abuse is abuse no matter how mild or extreme it is. i was bullied and instead of talking to the school or the parents i was threatened and beat by my parents aka the victim always is to blame. not to mention the way they treated me when they found out i liked boys. "no one wins in the game of my trauma is worst". also if you had a charmed life or no emotions it doesnt matter cause you still wont be able to relate. some people are lucky enough to never have had problems

Iv said it since suicide squad the scene the acting between Joel and John in that death scene will be a crucial point going forward because not only was flag a decorated war veteran but he also was able to handle some of the worlds ruthless extreme volatile villains in a group and get missions done while also making friends along the way and saving the world. He was a role model class a citizen who just wanted to protect the world GENUINELY. Peacemaker is about the mission, his code, himself. It’s not about anyone or anything. The minute he decided to actually KILL flag I’m pretty sure was the first time he actually broke his code and did something he genuinely regrets. This is a man he shared drinks with but not less then 42 hours ago and is someone I’m sure he respected. A mission isn’t worth a life which he sees now I’m sure

Peacemaker didn't just respect Flag. As you said Flag was a highly decorated Veteran (As Amanda Waller said he was the best Soldier to ever exist). Flag was basically a Legend and for DC he was what Captain America is to Marvel. Everyone has a Childhood hero, a role model who we wish we could be. in the DC Universe people want to be like Superman, or Batman. Peacemaker wanted to be like Flag, this patriotic Legend, but failed to see that there is more to it than just killing and following orders. And then imagine you kill your Hero and with his last breath the Guy you always dreamt to be says that you are a Joke. That broke Peacemaker. Also notice how he could easily try to justify "Oh well Flag went against the Mission." But he doesn't. Not only do we see him deeply regreting that he killed Flag, he also said Flag was right. Peacemaker could've easily told himself that he was in the right, did what he had to do, and still regret it. But he still holds Flag in such a high respect that he rather questions his own actions, morals and basically his entire upbringing. Before he actually met Flag, Peacemaker would've shot the entire Family 100% without any hesitation.

This episode hit close to home... As an example of how, no matter how horrendous they are, it can be nigh on impossible for a child to NOT love their parent - and want their love in return. As someone with both a younger brother and a DESPICABLE father, I've seen it firsthand. I bailed at 18, but bro went through YEARS of court cases and losing houses and working with cops and all sorts of mayhem before he FINALLY cut ties. The scene outside the prison with Leota and Chris? I've HAD that conversation, many times...

Few things 1. Peacemaker still sees a kid on the outside, and the butterflies took over the kids, the kids weren’t always butterflies. Atleast from Peacemaker knowledge. 2. Jaby, the scenes about Peacemaker is supposed to put you in his shoes. Where Peacemaker feels helpless, and deals with so much trauma. You suppose to identify and feel for Peacemaker and maybe relate to his trauma. It also builds to the plot because it tells that Peacemaker thinks that love is bullying, hurting others, and being a dick because that’s how his dad showed love to young Peacemaker. 3. Butterflies aren’t just black and white, nobody is.

no, we have a justice system to make money for the state through slavery and extortion. and yes, it's well known thaf all of Batman's enemies are constantly breaking out of prison and Arkham. they comment in the comics that Arkham should install a revolving door...the Sandman comics feature Dr. Destiny talking to Scarecrow in Arkham about the constant breakouts and returns of notorious criminals...when Destiny breaks out, Scarecrow tells him to let Joker know tgey miss him in Arkham and to come back soon...etc.

The whole series was set up on the plot that repeatedly shows that whatever you do you cannot change the past or future or present, no matter how hard you try. But in the end they just do it without any special reason or what so ever. Worst lazy writing I have ever seen. Cringiest ending I could have imagined.

When Vigilante just devastated those Neo Nazi, alt right, Fox News worshiping dipshits with the best and most savage insults to white nationalist assholes ever.
