Hey guys thanks for watching this video! I know I said that I would be doing a Turning Red review this weekend, but I had an unexpectedly busy weekend so I may not be able to make it. Just in case I don’t though here our my quick thoughts on Turning Red: I loved the animation style and the music! The story, while low stakes and un-relatable to me, was very cute and adorable. I liked the relationship between the main character and her mother. That’s pretty much it lol. If you like slice of life movies, give this one a watch, but be warned: it’s not for everyone 😂.

Hey man, please keep up the content- your video essays are great! I think it’s one thing to have a character talk about daddy issues (as in most of those other movies), but in Peacemaker we actually get to really see it in action at an interpersonal level. I thought Peacemaker was a legit great character in The Suicide Squad but not nearly compelling enough for his own show, glad to be proven wrong!

I genuinely wonder what ppl see in this show.. I personally can't stand ANYTHING about James Gunn as a person.. but despite that I actually LOVE GOTG1.. which surprised me.. but I REALLY didn't like vol 2.. (it felt manipulative & FORCED af) &he's just been swinging &missing ever since.. TSS was pretty but vapid empty &aimless with asinine dialogue &so so plot.. The show was the last straw in the gunnshow for me.. every agonising second is dedicated to some of the most PAINFUL one note indulgent "dialogue" that's excused by "hEs aN aSsHoLe" or "oOoOo iTs iRrEvErEnT"
