Thanks, GF's! it's easy to see how the girls went wild for these guys, right? So talented and melodic... (not b/c of "autotune" or electronic tricks) ...even if the melodies and lyrics were "simple" they were catchy and easy to sing along to...also, those guys were considered pretty cute back then...(and to me, still- lol)... appreciate your listens & reactions... look forward to more...

One fun thing to remember is that most of the parents of all those starstruck girls thought the Beatles' hair styles were scandalous. For the 1960's their hair was considered very long & non-conformist. It was seen by many as rebellious. The criticism seems rather silly now, sixty-some years later.

Scandalous? That's kind of strong. It was out of the norm and some parents may have had issue with it, but none of all my friend's parents ever said anything. Again, controversy manufactured by the press.

@@Frankincensedjb123 Was not manufactured by the Press, I was 17 years old in 1964 when their movie "A HARD DAY'S NIGHT" came out (which this is from) and most parents, and adults HATED and made fun of their hair. Boys then either had a "butch, buzz or crew cut" which all 3 were extremely short OR they had long hair that was combed back using a lot of Brylcreme or any kind of greasy cream to keep it in place (Like John Travolta as "DANNY" in the movie musical "GREASE") The first time the Beatles were seen in performance in the U.S. on "The Ed Sullivan Show" on Feb. 9, 1964, my Dad kept talking through the whole performance, moaning how outrageous their hair was: "THAT'S DISGUSTING....They look like GIRLS! You can't even SEE their EYES! Why don't they get a haircut!?" Those were some of the things that my Dad said that night! Oh, also he thought they looked "DIRTY"!! That was the opinion of all the adults I knew personally, and from friends of mine and schoolmates who also complained that their parents really hated the way they looked with "all that hair" It was considered "scandalous"at the time, because NO MALE wore their hair like that no matter if it was a young boy, a teenage boy and certainly an adult man.

@@patticrichton1135 I can totally second that. Whose trying rewrite history here? I lived that history. And most parents HATED the noisy guitar and drum music, some thought it was a communist plot to corrupt youth like they said Elvis was and about Rock and Roll.
