Every time I hear this song, something else about it surprises me. Rare case where am wishing i could like the same video many many times-never heard anything quite like the way they set up that guitar solo. Sounds fantastic on the album with Tegan Wahlgren's violin too, but a different sort of thrill to see it unfold like this in the live act.

Jonathan C.O he uses a volume pedal at the beginning for the volume swells and for the solo at the end, a wah pedal. As well as just some chorus and reverb and distortion for the verses.

They're called swells and you do em with a volume pedal. Not reverb. Although, reverb makes them sound a lot better.

Real OGs can accomplish the effect by using the vol knob. Its easier with a reverb pedal if you are a scrub
