Yeah, but at the same time that DB was made when Twilight Princess was the new game. Since then we've had Zelda becoming the reincarnation of a light goddess... so Peach is kind of up a tree if/when Zelda obtains the Triforce.

Peach can literally bring any power up she wants and has the same super strength as Mario and has been adventuring with him technically since super Mario bros 2. If you can agree that Mario will beat Zelda then peach will win as well.

@@DamoclzA big part of it would depend on if they allow non-canon stuff in it like they did in this fight, such as the Smash Brothers move sets or that Mario Strikers kick Peach won with. Since if they allow non-canon then that means we'd have to consider Zelda from both Hyrule Warriors games, which means the Rapier, Bow of Light, Dominion Rod, Wind Waker, Sheikah Slate. and Master Cycle all as army-slaying weapons. But on the other hand, Peach would get guns and stuff from Mario vs Rabbids so.. hmmm. Also she'd officially have at least some Mario power-ups like the Fire Flower, Ice Flower, or Cat Suit so more hmmm... Well, either way, regardless of who wins, it'd be fun to revisit since both characters have gotten *a lot* since this fight originally aired.

@@JoshTigerheart non-canon would matter more to Zelda than it does peach as the Mario series doesn’t have a established “canon”. Every Mario game is canon including the spin-offs of the series. Zelda on the other hand the spin-offs are not and even then you would have to take in consideration on which Zelda will fight while there’s only one peach. Even without smash bros, Mario RPG, Super Mario bros 2, Mario 3D World, Mario Wonder, and Super Paper Mario are all games that show how capable peach is on her own, Zelda on the other hand besides hyrule warriors is always shown needing help and can only do so much on her because she is not a fighter while peach has been in the game to fight alongside Mario since the second game. I love both of them though. Best gaming princesses ^^

1:41 Wait how did Zelda scream? She was asleep when it hit and afterward, her head was gone. But honestly, this battle is pretty good for one of their older episodes. The slap fight and Peach's finisher are really great moments, especially as someone who loves Mario Strikers. Also they acknowledged Peach has a game on the ds with 4 powers that were actually very versatile, and the whole fight made use of moves exclusive to her, since this was before she was playable in games like 3d world and Wonder.

They totally did this in celebration of Peach’s new game, and I love them for it. Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if DB gives this fight a rematch or just gives Peach a brand-new fight sometime, if everything goes well. Though if they do rematch Peach VS Zelda, I have a feeling the scales would be tipped even further in Peach’s favor, especially with her Showtime transformations.

I'm glad they're reuploading just the fights and I still feel nostalgic watching these, but it really shows how far Death Battle has come over the years. The script, animation and fight coriography have gotten exponentially better, with the last season being its strongest imo. Watching these old fights is great, but I'll still probably go back to some newer fights just to witness the banter between the two fighters
