Miss the old days when John and Jack were doing unboxing together, and Jack seemed always got confused identifying the colors of Fender CSs

Well Jack was great but the lads moved on. I'm suprised that John didn't have someone with him but it was good

Am I crazy in thinking recreating a crack in the headstock is taking things too far? Sunburst 61 journeyman strat with the flamed neck and dark rosewood fretboard was my favourite.

I don’t know the first thing about relic work, but my gut tells me scoring the headstock probably isnt super hard

Sure, but it's just... Why go there? Nobody wants a simulated broken headstock, surely?
@flamedmahoganytable9749 Жыл бұрын
@@pepmasters-999 if its on your own guitar I completely agree with your take. If its a replica/tribute of another guitar it just makes sense.

For me personally, I prefer Epiphone/Gibson. I had a beautiful white, Epiphone SG Special a year ago and it was my favorite guitar in general. Felt great to hold, powerful pickups, and hours of playing done on that thing. Recently got a 48th Street Fender Stratocaster. Was the only one I could find for around $500 with that Fender logo on it with a humbucker on the bottom. It's a good guitar, don't get me wrong, but I think I just prefer the feel of a Gibson. Fenders are great and I love them (especially the Jazzmaster), but Gibson will always be my go-to for guitars.
@SuperRetro64 Жыл бұрын
Fender basses are my favorite on the other hand. You just can't beat a nice, fully laminated neck of a Fender bass. Had the chance to play one like that at GC a few months ago and I'm still thinking about it to this very day haha!

I wish that the chamfered neck heel for access, 22 frets, and locking tuners were available on non-CS Strats! The vintage-modern models look really nice!

What does ‘simulated that crack in the headstock’ mean? Is it purely an aesthetic thing or do they actually break it and glue the pieces back together again?
@zenrun2913 Жыл бұрын
They take the Les Paul Standards that were accidentally dropped at the factory and make Greenies😂
@PeterMoore350 Жыл бұрын
They make it look like it had a neck break to be “faithful” to how the original Greenie looks like.
@EdgardCoello Жыл бұрын
Hss Strat is the winner for me, I like modern strats and teles more than Vintage ones, wish to see more american ultra luxes in their custom Shop and masterbuilt versions, even with 24 frets, even with all the switching options of a Tyler Guitar, floyd rose, han pickup configuration. I love Fender but their highcend top of the line models are always paying tribute to vintage models.

I just wonder what these factory "aged" guitars, like Greeny, will look like in 30 or 40 years ?
@Squall6575 Жыл бұрын
They are collectibles so probably wont get played and look the same
@stricknine8623 Жыл бұрын
@@Squall6575 I figured someone would understand where I was going with that thought. Okay,..If someone actually played the guitar on a regular basis for 30 or 40 years,..I'm trying to imagine how it might look.

@@Squall6575 The answer, I would reckon is probably like total $hit.
@ScottsGuitar Жыл бұрын
Unless they’re playing gigs with it under track lighting with sweat every night probably not much. I am curious about those destroyed looking necks tho 😂 can’t stand heavy aged ML necks feel like crap imo. I play ultra light, but If I went heavy aged I’d have to go M2M and get the light aged neck that is the sweet spot for feel.
@Squall6575 Жыл бұрын
@@stricknine8623 like shit is probably right, if my information is correct, these guitars also have the “repaired neck” of the original greeny, which makes it even less ideal for live playing for fear of breakage.
