The sock wearing tool is actually suitable for old people (or other people who are pregnant, injured, have arthritis, disabled, etc), who sometimes can't bend to wear socks or find it difficult to wear socks on their own. So they use that tool to slide their leg in and just wear it. But I believe even a lot of old people are unaware of such a creation but I guess some people know.
