Peacock Bass Tank Update - 750 Gallons

Here is my 750 gallon peacock bass tank, it is filled with monoculus, Orino, Azul, Kelberi and Temensis (not featured in this video) with a few other friend such as my Tigrinus, Silver Arowana, Ripsaw Catfish and Henlei Rays.

Tank is 10 x 4 x 2.5 - i've actually added fish and moved a lot out now so it's much less crowded. Reason it was so crowded was a friends tank broke and i had to adopt his fish, which i've new moved into other aquaria.

I’ve seen this tank In person and believe me it’s fucking huge the videos do not do it justice ,it’s 10ft long and 4ft wide Yeah I think it’s a bit overcrowded but fuckers are acting like it’s a 6x2 tank or something 😂 and like he said he also had two 600 gallons as well but you really aren’t seeing the actual scale of it on here His fish and tanks were insane in person the size of the bass and rays is just superb believe me they all looked perfectly kept ....he was selling up last I heard but he had some stunning stuff when I visited

Do you use a backup power source? Im setting up a larger tank but given the high bioload that comes with predatory fish, my concern is losing the FX5s for a power outage longer than a few hours will mean ammo spikes and hydrogen sulfide poision emitted from the dying nitrifying bacteria when starved of O2. at the moment, solar panels and a battery array seems the most feasible but it wont be cheap

These fish aren't suffering but it's aesthetically underwhelming considering the funds that were required to build this. A pond would suit them better and the tank would be better utilized as an aqua-scaped planted tank. Unless of course you just want to see big fish gobble down live pray with the best view possible, that's a valid goal, used to do it myself, never had that kind of money for it though.

The aquarium is nice and the fish are beautiful, but there are too many large fish for that aquarium. It looks crowded and the fact that the tank is resting on breeze blocks can be improved also. The inside should have some vegetation to control nitrite levels

Plants aren't a necessity, but a luxury, and they would sure as hell be destroyed in this tank. If the stingrays didn't rip up the plants, the doradid would. Also it might be a bit crowded but as long as he does massive water changes to fit his massive tank he won't need help at all removing waste. Plants wouldn't do much for organic matter unless you got loads of them and that would have the fish running into them and ripping them up.

Yep too many fish for that size aquarium, but in hindsight he may have very good filtration. All though I'm not a fan of all keeping big fish in a plain tank cos they must feel so bored with jus sand and a bit of bogwood to keep em amused

If you prefer we can cut their heads off and throw them in a frying pan or they can continue to live in the 750 gallon which is way bigger of a tank than anyone commenting could ever afford.
