Very pretty! I love little crafts like these; I use them as a ‘tuck in’ present for my adult children (not to mention my grands!) just so they have something tangible to know I am thinking of them. When you r family is spread literally from one coast of Canada to another, I think it’s important to have these little things to know that Mom/Grandma loves them and thought of them. I know for myself, it’s those little reminders of moments with my grandmothers that mean so much to me. These small gifts taught me at a very early age that the value of a gift has nothing to do with the cost of it. I have a little potholder that a Great-Grand-Auntie gave me when I was 5 (I’m 59 now). I thought it was such a strange thing to give me at the time. Now I think back at how gnarled her hands were with arthritis, yet she still took the time and effort to give me something she had made. She passed away shortly after that visit, but to this day, Aunt Catherine’s pot holder holds pride of place beside my stove. It always reminds me of that sunny day we spent with her and her giving me this item. To me, it’s priceless.

I don’t understand the stitch count I. The English translation and her fingers are in the way. I’ve ripped it out and started over three times. It’s impossible to out all those stitches in round 3 in round 2.

round 1 creates 14 stitches and round 2 uses only 13 stitches? o.o inconsistency everywhere..
