Thanks for the helpful video. Do you think a 12.75" wide (32.4 cm) laptop could fit in there? The model you put in is just about 12" from what I can tell, and there looks to maybe be some more room

Depends on your loadout. Obviously gets pretty heavy but in general it's comfortable to wear and the strap is adequate.
