Thank you for being the rare review that shows how a camera mounted with lens can fit vertically into this (now) classic bag!

Wow, this is a great review of the 10L, I have the 5L version, although I use pancake primes with my small DSLR, there are still times when I wish my current bag has this wiggle room for an ipad and the what nots (5L version cannot take a sleeved ipad if you are using a DSLR)

Thanks, the 10L is a small bag with a big interior, I call mine Tardis (Doctor Who) ;-)

Excellent review, very detailed and clear close up images. Thank you. Do you think the bag would take a lens stood upright that is 24cm long? (Olympus 300mm F4 Pro)
@RealEnglishEducation22916 жыл бұрын
22cm would be a comfortable fit. 24cm with nothing in the top of the bag might be possible. Otherwise it may fit in the front pocket laying down.

Thank you! If I do get one, I will let you know my thoughts on it.

Paul, many thanks. I think this is the best review that I have seen for this product. I am trying to decide between the 10 and the 5 Litre bag.. I think one in the middle would be perfect!
@Paullebbon6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your kind words. To help you decide, if you have a mirrorless camera or a DJI spark then the 5L is perfect. If you have a DSLR camera or a mavic drone, you will need the 10L size. I hope this helps. They are very nice bags and definitely a joy to use. :-)

Thanks Paul, I appreciate your advice. I have a Sony a6500 paired with the 70-200 f4. Would the 5L be able to accommodate the body with the lens attached and maybe one smaller prime as a setup?
@Paullebbon6 жыл бұрын
I can lay down my Canon 6D MK2 with a 70-200mm f/4L is USM lens in the 10L bag, even with the smaller Sony body, I cannot see it fitting laying down in the 5L. The 5L is for a mirrorless body in the centre pocket with a small lens each side. Watch my video again and imagine the bag being half the depth. To be honest the 10L is not that big and may be more suitable for your needs. The 5L reminds me of a small bag for my lunch. :-)

Thanks Paul, that is exactly what I needed to know! I don't need another smallish camera bag but I don't need to haul all my worldly goods around with me either in a huge backpack! What I have seen in reviews about the 5L led me to think that I would again be frustrated with it. The 70-200 lens is a very awkward one to pack- if I found the right bag I would take it with me more! What I liked about your video, in particular, was how you showed the usefulness of that expandable outside pocket.
@Paullebbon6 жыл бұрын
Chryseas S. Thank you. Yes the expandable pocket is pretty big. That is why I thought it would suit you better when using a 70-200mm lens. The bag is an 8L in reality and the expandable pocket makes it 10L. So the 5L would probably only be a 3L expanding to 5L. (Not sure so don’t quote me on that one) but Peak design bags do come up small for their ‘capacity’ even the 30L everyday backpack doesn’t hold much gear in real use! But that is why I like them. I used to use crumpler bags, but the extra padding and protection is overkill and makes a 10L bag huge in comparison. Anyway, I wish you well and hope you enjoy your choice. Have a nice day.

Hi, my Peak Design 10L sling able to stand by its own and it is good since things won’t fall out easily but my bag has some problem so get quite a few replacement until I can get one that’s good sewn(still has a bit deep scratch mark but at least no other problem, really bad quality control) but I just discovered it can’t stand by its own no matter how I put it, it keep fall down, maybe the bottom part sewn too curved up. How’s your experiences?

NETVO TV I now have the 30L everyday backpack, 10L sling and bought the 5 L sling last week. I have had no problems at all. The only thing I didn’t like is that I had to buy a murder black 5L because they don’t do it in charcoal. Quality control has been no problem, but I would suggest rubbing a candle over the zips every few months to keep them lubed as they do get dry after a while and can stick. A white candle (clear wax) or some silicone Luc used on rubber seals works best. Sorry to hear of your troubles. Watch out for fake products, they have bad quality and are poorly made! Check serial numbers hidden inside the bags to check they are real. Look online for the secret locations of the codes. Best regards.

Paul lebbon mine can’t stand if you put it on floor, it keep fall down, do you have this problem? The first one I received didn’t have water resistant layer so I get a replacement but the top sewn lines not sewn well so another replacement and get the same problem then fourth one, not sewn well on both end of the front zipper then the fifth one good but scratched quite a lot places and can’t stand, what the hack why I get this kind of quality of the bag

NETVO TV I don’t know my friend. My 10L stands only when I have my big lens in the front pocket or tripod on the bottom. Otherwise it rolls over and is front heavy. I can only go by my own experiences. I guess it maybe down to luck or a bad batch. Are you buying direct from Peak Design or from a reseller? As I said earlier beware of fake products as well, they are out there and they have bad quality always. Check the codes and I hope you get what you are looking for.

Paul lebbon they are all from the factory and real, should I force them to send me another one or just keep the best one but still not best quality? Hmm, i disappointed and not sure what to do, here’s the link to the video of m bag, you can see the problem and see if yours has same problem
