With the Holley Terminator X and Holley's dual sync distributor, we're able to ditch the standard distributor and wires and go to a GM LS coil near plug ignition setup for not only more power, but also individual cylinder control to bring this old pushrod SBF motor into the 21st century! The extra power and reliability will be awesome with the turbo setup.

Nice job. I may try this but to install a bracket held in place by the oil pan bolts. Then of course run the wires upwards for a hidden look.

I just had my 95 Mustang dyno tuned on Wednesday, it was my first experience on getting a car dyno tuned boy I was scared and excited😊 its a 347 stroker fully forged with dss pistons and afr heads,holley systemax intake running terminator x max with a gm flex fuel sensor first pull at 4 psi 439hp 2nd pull 9psi 512hp on 93 pump. I was shocked and thinking how can i run e85 in this without making more power because of stock block life in the end 7psi on e85 20deg timing for my first built turbo mustang Did you make a part 2 showing how to wire it to holley and setup in the holley software

What plug would you recommend for a GT40 headed 347 making around 400hp?

I think the GT40 use a .708 taper seat, if that’s the case a 5 or 6 heat range NGK would be solid. Most guys would go with a TR6 nickel plug, TR6GP single platinum or TR6IX single iridium as the top option.

Did you wire them up as independent coils or are they wired as a wasted spark system

are those spark plugs compatible on a stock 302?

Not the exact part number I don’t think. These pro comp aluminum heads take a gasket seat spark plug where as I think the stock ford heads take a tapered seat plug. But you can totally run a fine wire spark plug like a NGK G Power or Iridium IX in a tapered seat, 0.460 thread reach. PN Would be UR6IX for iridium and UR6GP for the G power platinum, both are 6 heat range and two steps colder than stock. The G power is the way to go, almost the same performance as the iridium IX but half the cost.

Yeah, I’m using a Holley dual sync with the cam/crank combined. Otherwise you can use the explore cam sensor and an aftermarket crank sensor setup

Oooh good question. I think I followed the Holley recommendation at first. But the car has been tuned by a local shop and I’m not sure if they adjusted it, I haven’t checked that part of the tune since I got it back. I’ll try to have a look later this week and report back.

The ones I used are from a C6 corvette Z06 with the 7.0l. But I’m guessing nearly all the brackets are the same.

I guess that’s one way to see it. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Or the way I see it we could say we have the first set of powered by ford OEM 90s valve covers modified for CNP coils? 🤘🏼
