The peaky blinders and Billy Kimber Beef started because they were fixing the races without his permission. The lee family are the ones who got beat up by the Shelby brothers at the start of the episode and they believe it’s the Lee’s who put the curse on their horse because the Shelby’s are half Romani gypsis and they believe in it since curses are a part of the Romani gypsi culture. The Lee’s are Romani gypsis as well so that’s why it make sense.

The opening scene was an example of why they are called the Peaky Blinders. The hats they wear are called peaky caps and the Peaky Blinders have a razor blade in the bill of their caps which they use to aim for the eyes in fights.

On popcorn as a movie snack the show gets it wrong on this one I think. Peaky Blinders is set just after the end of WW1 around 1920. In the early days of cinema, theater owners actually discouraged snacking during movies because movie theaters were built to look like stage theaters. Going to the movies was to be considered a fancy event for which one dressed up. But in the 1930s when the depression hit theaters took a big hit & in order to get more tickets sold they actually started offering popcorn as a snack to enjoy while watching a movie. So at first they discouraged it then they actually turned to it in order to survive financially. Movies & popcorn have been married ever since.

Please don't make your screen disappear every second. I wanna see the scenes too. You can decrease the opacity of the screen, it works that way too. Also, he killed the horse because it was infected and dying. He made it pass so that hus sufferings end sooner.

I'm almost 30. The women in my life were always like Aunt Pauly. I never thought of women as inferior in anyway hell all my sisters are smarter then me. This show is a great reminder that women threw out time have had power and did very well. I'm still going to push my sisters out of the way of an attacking dog before my brother. If that's sexist so be it. Id rather my brother have a scar then my sister. Hes also kind of a dick and has it coming more lmao jk.. kinda lol..
