This was the very first day I had ever heard of PJ. I just remember walking away knowing I would be a fan for life. One of the best days of my young life. I was 21. Today I am 50!

I have his microphone from that day. When he climbed the stage canopy, tied the microphone cord to it, jumped down and swung off into the crowd, the microphone flew into the pit where I was. I have it, I have witnesses.

We were sophomores in high school we drove up from Wichita Kansas to visit my buddies brother on the football team little did we know we were living history!!!!

i was living in an apartment a couple blocks away. A buddy woke me up at 10am with a beer in his hand. We spent the rest of the afternoon walking from the concert back to my apt to fill up our 32oz cups with beer. Amazing day...couldn't believe Eddie was crawling all over the stage. That blew our minds back then and now watching it again. I love college...wish I could go back and relive.

I loved Let's Go Bowling and especially Tribe After Tribe and got a lot of both of their sets on good quality video. But I got so wrapped up in the great day and music that I forgot I only had two hours or less worth of recording time on my battery! During the break before Pearl Jam's set, I asked the guy working as the DJ by the sound desk if I could plug my battery charger in one of the many outlets that were just sitting there empty on a sheet of plywood. The asshole said "No." He didn't give a reason. I told him that I'd stand right there the whole time and practically begged him and he still refused. So, when Pearl Jam came on, I only got about a minute of "Even Flow". I disconnected the battery for a bit and then put it back on. It rested just enough for me to get just about ten seconds of "Jeremy" and that was it...

I was there. Was down in the mosh pit and cut my right calf muscle 5/6 way through and severed an artery on an empty bottle someone had thrown in there, . Listened to most of the show from the back of an ambulance. Good times.

It amazes me that people had the foresight to record a band like Zeppelin or PJ in their infancy. My dad had a camcorder back in early 90's and it was a commitment to bring that thing anywhere.

I graduated from KU 15 days after this, with a degree in math. But I wasn't smart enough to go to this show! I lived on Ridge Court, maybe a mile away. I knew about it but didn't go. I've never gotten to see them. Another close encounter was just last year, Eddie was about a mile away from me right here in Lemoore, CA at a secret opening of a surfer wave pool. I drove right by there that night, not knowing he was there. It was in the paper the next day.
