@@jackstraw2656 I've seen Phish over 260 times and this is still one of my favorite shows ever! They stopped on the middle of Animal to clean up the pit a little cause peeps were getting crushed and when they resumed, it was right back in the middle of the song. My mind was always blown away by that.

@@Trey7105 Saw Phish at Bloomsburg U, PA…Haas Center, about 2000 capacity. It was way better than the other times I saw them. Trey got behind the drums, Jonathan did his thing with the vacuum cleaner. Awesome! The encore was Axis Bold as Love, then they put down their instruments, stepped to the front of the stage, and did A Capella Amazing Grace.

This was my very first of almost 30 Pearl Jam shows! I was in the Vitalogy Health Club (that was what the fan club was called over 20 years ago) They were fighting Ticketmaswter, so I could order 2 tickets thru the club, and I also called some 1-800 number, which I think was a raffle and won 4 tickets that I of course paid for. I got a 3 CD bootleg of this show in 98 and now I can see this video for the first time. Pjvideoguy is THE MAN! He has everything!

I remember this show like it was yesterday. My friends and I kept commenting on the fact that the show felt like it was never going to end.. We savored every second of it as we had been waiting for years to see them as they had not toured because of their disagreement with Ticketmaster (which was so silly as we ended up spending what seemed like the same amount from their third-party ticket vendor). As avid concert goers, this was the show my friends and I most looked forward to seeing. It was absolutely amazing. And I of course have my ticket stub along with the other two hundred or so I've amassed.

I was one of the unfortunate ones who got stuck in the rain at the show on the 28th (where the antics of the audiences were way worse than on the 29th) but lucky enough to get to go the second night. It was crowd insanity at its worst both days. They let us in at like 1:00 where hundreds/thousands of fans sat for 8 hours waiting to see PJ. There were other bands but it was just meh all day. With nothing to do all day but sit on the ground and drink from the beer stand, by the time PJ came on, probably half of the male audience was piss drunk and very rowdy. They weren't moshing, they were just beating the shit out of each other. On the 28th, Eddie just watched the ambulances coming and going at the side of the stage taking ppl who were getting hurt off to the hospital but he didn't say anything. On the 29th, he wasn't having any more bullshit. I did not expect a PJ crowd to be such a bunch of dicks. Now they're all bald and fat accountants. LOL.

When the crowd surged towards the stage, I almost got trampled. First Eddie politely asked the audience to stop. When he saw the potential for serious injury, he shouts, "There's a fucking psych. ward a mile from here (Bellevue Hospital). I think some of you are from there!" He helped prevent disaster that night, and we were treated to Pearl Jam at their very best..for almost 3 hours and perhaps their longest set list up til then. A true treat at a forgotten ancient stadium on an island of mud, but a safe haven, safe from the greedy clutches of Ticketmaster.

This version of Jeremy is often referred to as “No Jeremy.” Not a huge fan of No Jeremy to be honest but someone on KZbin made a remix of No Jeremy going into Jeremy. In that instance the suspense that No Jeremy built into regular Jeremy was SO COOL!!! Love these Jack Irons shows. He gets a lot of flack because of his style but hearing this, it’s undeniably Jack Irons. Matt Cameron was always better in Soundgarden and sounds somewhat robotic interpreting the DA and JI material in Pearl Jam. Always loved Pearl Jam and just got off of a 10 year break from them. Love rediscovering these classic songs.

Pearl Jam sounds so great with Dave Abbruzzese and Jack Irons on drums, and not so great with Matt Cameron .
