Pearl Jam has played consistently good shows for 30+ years, and there's no better praise I can think of. They're, to put it simply, true rock n' roll classics.

Got back into music when sister passed recently. Loved 90's but never got further than the radio songs with pearl jam. Liked them all but just never did go out of my way to know much about them. Whats weird is now I'm 40 and I just recently started learning about bands I liked and I immediately got way into pearl jam more than any other band in over 20 years. Then a couple days after listening to 10 on repeat all day I looked them up KZbin again like I had 100 times in a couple days and I see an add for tickets to their upcoming St. Louis show. I about Shi!. I literally just started listening to this band after over 20 years of not even thinking about them, and they are touring. My city no less!... Unfortunately the tickets were sold out save terrible seating which is so bad that free tickets would have cost to much.. So I continue on with my mournful life thinking it just another tease by life to break my soul just a bit more, you know, incase finding my sister, friend, and mother of the most awesome niece and nephew a uncle like me could have, Dead did not do a well enough job. We lived together for a total of 31 years of my 40-year life. ....came home one day and found her dead. I can't tell u the pain of a big brother finding his 34 year old sister dead in his home were he was trying so very very hard to help. On Father's day , I came home from my second job ready for bed. I had been working over 4 months straight 7 days a wèek 12 or more hours most every day with not one single day off. My wife asked me to wait just a moment and asked her son, who I consider my own, to grab a gift they got for me. I said thank u as I opened it without much enthusiasm thinking it a card or something appreciated but not terribly exciting. What could be, I thought. I want nothing. EVen though have little by many standards,, my Philippino wife showed me how much I do have. That matters anyway. Even though God wanted one of my favorite back. My sister was the best gift a 5 year-old me ever got...but when I opened the gift my wife and son got me, I have to admit, the last time I was that excited was probably around that same age..They got me tickets to Oklahoma city venu Can't wait. I love this band, its fans and Eddie seems to be the most absolutely perfectly imperfect representation of what humanity should and so easily could be to make this earth an imperfect paradise. One that values kindness, effort & intentions ..
