November 2024, still got tears running from this beautiful piece of work. My wife passed away in July this year, and ,,yeah.

Such a powerful song.the day my wife left me.I got in the car.put on Sirius radio,p.j station .and this song was playing.I'll never forget how hard it hit me.and how something as simple as a song can stirr up such emotion.but that's Eddie. His music is so dynamic, powerful, emotional that it defines modern music today.thank you Eddie.

brother , i hope you time has gotten better in the yr since you left this message. i found this song the same way, now i just remember his power and not my shitty X. but i wanted you to know someone else felt the same way once

Keith.same situation, she left ,when I went to work night shift, and a month or so ,I moved ,and got this album from a friend ,and when this song comes on ,I friggin ,lose it because of the simularitys ,its like hes singing about her ,we always kept in touch ,and ,guess what ,10 years later ,,she came back ,and I was herer waiting ,even ,now ,I cant listen to this song without ,falling ,apart.and they say men are not supposed to cry ,man he hits some place in our hearts, and the sheer way he sings it ,is like he is in distress.

Really beautiful, thanks for sharing, isn’t crazy how in those moments the feelings are so intense, feels like some one has reached inside your chest and their hand is just squeezing your heart...the pain is so real, so painful...but somehow it feels so good.

There's a terrible tearing at my soul when I hear this song, like picking at a scab and feeling that same pain again and again. And yet it soothes at the same time....and helps the healing, even though it may take so long we feel we may never survive or reach the end. This amazing song, coupled with their brilliant track, Black, reaches down deep, and confirms what I knew all along - that this heartbreak may never go away. There's a deep deep sadness in the hearts of people who have lost someone so dear, and while I believe this song is about someone dying, its almost worse to lose someone while they are still with us, as that keeps the false hope alive, extends the pain and leaves us so many questions unanswered, forever. The high melody harmonies at the end of the song may yet be the death of me....

The best performance I think they've every done with this song, Especially Eddie. Eddie's vibrato, just fluttering throughout. It's magical. Don't think I've heard it like that before. The emotion and the passion. Eddie was feeling it, and possibly possessed by the Romone's for this one.

What makes this band so successful in my opinion is the pure honest and real emotion they pour into their music. I've seen them 29 times live and each time is like the first because the emotion is so real. I love this band and their music has been touching me for the past 33 years. Going nowhere anytime soon😊❤️

If I keep holding out, will the light shine through? Under this broken roof, it's only rain that I feel I've been wishing out the days Oh-oh-oh, come back I have been planning out all that I'd say to you Since you slipped away, know that I still remain true I've been wishing out the days Please say, that if you hadn't of gone now I wouldn't have lost you another way From wherever you are Oh-oh, oh-oh, come back And these days, they linger on And in the night I've been waiting for The real possibility that I may meet you in my dreams I go to sleep If I don't fall apart, will my memories stay clear? So you had to go and I had to remain here But the strangest thing to date So far away and yet you feel so close And I'm not gonna question it any other way There must be an open door For you to come back And the days, they linger on And every night, what I'm waiting for Is the real possibility that I may meet you in my dreams Sometimes you're there and you're talking back to me Come the morning I could swear you're next to me And it's okay It's okay It's okay I'll be here Come back, come back I'll be here Come back, come back I'll be here Come back, come back
