A fantastic song from Pearl Jam - from the Ten Redux album 1991. I do love Eddie Vedder's voice, so distinctive and powerful. Another couple of my favourite Pearl Jam songs are 'Immortality' and 'Not for You', both from the album Vitalogy 1994. Pearl Jam is an American rock grunge band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1990. Thanks for your reaction, Anthony. 👍😊

This performance is why I laughed when you used the word "timid" on the Black reaction 😂😂🤘 Eddie was jumping on his chair during other songs in the Unplugged gig.

This was a massive hit for Pearl Jam. Love how Eddie drags out his notes - has a great voice and the guitar solo is insane. Can you imagine being in that audience?! Thanks Anthony for posting this one.

I was in my late teens when the grunge movement occurred and Eddie was my favourite. The whole album TEN is such a time travel device for me. Takes me straight back. It's a no skip piece of art. Hope you do more PJ reactions soon.

I believe Eddie wrote this because he was inspired by a homeless veteran he befriended. “Freezin’ rests his head on a pillow made of concrete again” …”oh feelin, understands the weather of winter is on its way.” The way they write these incredible lyrics is amazing!!!

I believe Pearl Jam, nirvana, STP, and Alice In Chains all dropped mtv unplugged sets in a 12 month period. I think Live did one as well. My god were we lucky fans.

Oh youngster you’re taking me back to my high school days. I am a 30+year card carrying member of the Grunge Era. I was 16 when this song came out. My buddy called me over to his car, a 1990 Nissan 280ZX, and told me I had to hear this new band. He blared it and as the music flowed out of the hatchback it was like a religious experience. I still gets chills and I’ll be 50 in two years. I still rock ALL of the Grunge bands.

I was a child in the 80’s and a teen in the 90’s. I am so proud of the music of my generation. I got to go to the concerts and experience them all first hand. Yes this is bad ass and I STILL freakin love it 🥰

Saw them live in Stockholm just months after this was filmed I believe, in the smallest venue evvur. The stage was like an inch above floor and everyone including me stood within arms length to them. Craziest ever. I'm very happy for that moment and for 21yo me😊 Hugs from Sweden. 🎉
@Pilutta100Ай бұрын
They were not big in Sweden yet,therefore the tiny venue.

1993, I was in 11th grade. They became my fav band over the last couple years, and was lucky enough to see them live. Live, they were as close to studio as can be. Felt like Eddies voice was traveling thru us.

The Grunge era was the best era, and I'll fight anyone who claims it wasn't lol It stands out as a little perfect island between around 1990 to 1995, mainly because it was the only time when authenticity reigned supreme. Bands like Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Alice in Chains and Audioslave were allowed to do what they wanted without the labels and suits chasing $s and "managing" them into mediocrity. They were the real deal. Almost all of it came out of the same scene in Seattle, all bringing each other up, all with that disdain for modern society and venom for the music "industry". They wrote songs themselves, about real issues. Even though nothing will be able to recreate that magic of Grunge it would be nice if we can just get back to music that has meaning, integrity, intelligence and honesty.
