Seeing as how you're in a Grunge groove, the best album of that era was "Temple of the Dog", which is a crazy, sad story, but a record made by a supergroup before anyone knew they were super. In a nutshell, the band Mother Love Bone's singer Andrew Wood died. While picking up the pieces, they found a new singer in Eddie Vedder, and would go on to become Pearl Jam...but not before recording a tribute album with one of Andrew's best friends, Chris Cornell (from Soundgarden), as lead vocalist. The song everyone remembers is "Hunger Strike", which is great, but the entire album is a masterpiece. Seriously, check it out...
