Give it up to Maynard for being so accessible and still going strong into his 60's! 😮 Bert did a great job interviewing him more so like a friend then a Podcaster/comedian. Maynard has such a cool demeanor and smooth talking voice. Minus his musical voice he seems like he never argues or yells at anyone even when it's necessary. He more or less just kills you with intelligent sarcastic venom. Hence must be extremely difficult to argue with someone like him 😅 this interview definitely shows the humor of Maynard and his desire to be more of a comedian then a rock star. I can definitely see the lure of his character and how he must have a lot of genuine friends in all types of circles. Thanks for a great conversation guys 🤙🏼♥️

@@Zoombeanie132 he can be for sure. We had an entire book of stalkers/crazy fans who were 86d and absolutely not allowed on premises. Also, I guess at the new restaurant the servers were instructed to never greet him or look at him which is so.gross

I'm usually not a big fan of Bert but having him be as much as a fan as me (or more) is so nice to have great questions shot at Maynard, Truly loving this, I'm now a Bert fan.

In all fairness this is as good. He wasn’t as serious as he was with Joe Rogan. Bert somehow brought out the inner comic in Maynard.

Great job bert and maynard. Honestly one of maynards best podcast.

This interview is more interesting than the ones on Joe and Tom’s. Thanks Bert. Love that he’s been a fan since 93 🤘

Never thought I'd hear Maynard giving props to Nirvana knowing on a mtv Xmas interview kurt was mad about tool doing the claymation style music video, very interesting!!

That was more Adam's thing, if I understand correctly. He was and still is the visual guy for Tool other than Alex Grey. If he hadn't ripped them off/made an homage and also had Kurt not named dropped them by bitching and complaining about it, then I may not have ever discovered the amazing works of The Quay Brothers or Jan Svankmajer. So I see it as a win. I also still love the old music videos for Undertow, especially "Prison S*x". I was lucky enough to catch the few times they allowed it to air on MTV before pulling it for being "too disturbing for viewers" along with "Mr. Krinkle" by Primus. Both of them really changed the way that I heard music and saw art. Good times!
