Eddie was interviewed in Amsterdam, and stated, he wrote 'Yellow Ledbetter' when he was plastered. So he said the words change with each performance, since he dosen't actually remember the original lyrics. It all depends upon his mood. So according to Eddie, there's no actual "lyrics" to the song, either right or wrong. It's improvised for each performance. I've seen PJ in concert 14 times and each time, the lyrics are switched up. But, regardless of what comes out of Eddie's mouth, the song is absolutely amazing.

I love this song no matter what the lyrics are at any given moment. Have always wanted to go to a Pearl Jam concert & was dying to be there sometime when they do this song. Well finally got to go see them back in Nov. 2013 & it was great, only one thing wrong with that concert, other than it being the one that he had a girl thrown out that was causing problems down in front of the stage & actually, that was pretty funny, he joked about it now & then thru the rest of the concert, but something that Pearl Jam did really wrong at that concert? lol, They didn't play this song!!!!! lmao, I said no way as people were leaving, I couldn't believe it. I don't know how long I stubbornly stood there while the place emptied out & finally when there were maybe around 30 or 40 people left in the entire building I snapped out of my shock & moped on out of there. The only way I could pull myself out of the depression over it was to realize that I would have been bawling my head off thru the whole song feeling a huge loss knowing that I may not ever get the chance to see them again. Song would have crushed my heart.

He drank a bottle of wine during the performance. I’ve been to many shows but this will sort of always go down as the best live show I’ve ever seen. Parking was terrible, Verona was a mess that night but soooo fun.
