I agree with David that the Pearl MidTown has an inspiring vibe to it, and it makes you want to play. Very fun and useful kit! And it’s super portable, and setup and tear down is very fast, especially with the two bags you can get for them.

David, loved my Midtown’s, only issue was the wrap. Seems the wrap is very heat sensitive and not because they were in direct sunlight. But, Pearl replaced the floor tom no questions asked. Excellent customer service. Really enjoy your vids.

I. LOVE. TINY. DRUMS! I had a Mapex kid with an 18" kit and 8, 10, and 12 toms and it was the best. And it got KILLER sound out of it.

Awesome drumming as always, David! Does the bass drum beater hit at a normal angle or is a little more forward as we tend to see on small bass drums with risers? Thanks for posting!

Nice job David. I did a Pearl Jungle Kit conversion of a 16 Floor Tom into a bass drum with very thick heads, and it's sweet and easy to deal with. It' will never be a 24" bass drum, but it works for a lot of situations. Thanks again.

Don,t like the punchy hip hop feel of those small kits. I,m an old man and prefer the classic 14/18", 12" and 14" toms! I play a lot of bebop and blues/funk fusion! Ohh and I live in Japan so big sets are a pain ! I,ve been looking at the Yamaha bop kit and it ticks all the boxes!
