For my needs the Tamiya seems the best.

Can I use the testors' extreme lacquer white lightning to spray paint my model car body? Or do I have to use something else before that

What color is the plastic? If it’s a bright red or dark color, you might want to prime it first. With White Light Lightning I would use maybe a silver or gray primer/undercoat.

I think that with all due considerations that I would use the Tamiya Pearl white over Tamiya White Primer. Thank you for sharing your testing with us. I found it to be very interesting. This content is valuable to a project that I am planning to do very soon. The project is the Revell Beatnik Bandit that I have wanted to build for years. Larry Landis

I was told by guys that do custom painting on real cars to use a white base for white pearls. I'm painting the roof of a 1960 Desoto kit pearl while over a candy Ruby body. I even tried pearl white craft paint shot through an airbrush, but liked the Tamiya better.
