Cool! Thx for illustrating this. Silver looks more like an automotive finish would be on a 1:1. One more coat might blur that difference tho. I have played around with these tests. I usually keep the spoons and mark the undercoat. Some times tape half a spoon and test clears. I have a Dodge Challenger kit that could use this paint. That Chrome is sick! Thats a must do. Maybe slot car or sometning👍👍😎

Thanks for watching and I appreciate your comments and tips. This is a good color for a Challenger.

Interesting comparison. Matching the correct shade is usually never easy, but it looks like you'll be very close with one of those. I'm not going to pick one though, what I'm seeing through my screen is unlikely to be the same as what you're seeing with your own eyes. I can't wait to see the finished car, good luck dude.

Thanks again @Graham_Patch. The color came out darker than I wanted but the build is coming along slowly after a snafu (will post a short soon on it)

Nice illustration of the difference that base coats make. For completeness it would have been ideal to have included a black base, but appreciate that would have been too dark for the color that you are trying to achieve

Hi. Thanks for watching and the suggestions. I totally should have done that but didn’t even think about it 🤦🏻♂️. I definitely will for the next one. Thank you 🙏

Chrome obviously looks cool but like you said, a little much for a car. I like silver the best. Thanks for the test.

hi! seeing a few videos from you for paint guidance. For Tamiya TS paints, is there a way to remove them if i want to redo or change the color?
