Hermitcraft 10: Using Real Life as Build Inspiration! | Episode 29

In this episode of Hermitcraft, I dive into building the pier for the garden section of the shopping district. Impulse suggested using the Imperial Beach Pier as inspiration in San Diego seeing as we were going there in person anyway, so it was time to put that plan into action.
Frog coins find a new home, and we also get a secret invite from Cub into something fun.
Oh, and there's some fun vlog footage from my recent trip to America. Woo!

The pier is lovely! The trapdoor-stairs combo is a fantastic detail and the bit of vlog footage, along with some storytime while building a cheekily compliant pop-up, is so fun. Super exciting to see fight club expand!

After seeing the creativity of cubs FC, my mind started coming up with ideas and now I need Grian to be in fight club and have the weapons be fishing rods. The arena is a bunch of tall poles that you fling each other off and there are slime blocks on some sections of floor.

Pearl, you say the greenery on the dock is unrealistic, but I went to a long pier last year and saw a variety of different plants growing from the cracks in the foundation. There's almost nowhere that plants won't grow if left alone, even in a gap of concrete in the middle of a lake!

What a wonderful Episode I enjoyed listening to the story of your trip to San Diego (I wish I was there to meet you lovely kind people) and watching the entire of Episode 29. I think I have a suggestion for the fight club (Shh it's a secret) anyways the theme I am thinking of is our Australian theme with the Kangaroos wallabies and spiders of course can't forget those critters maybe the lighting rods and a enderman head for a snake as well.

Amazing video as always, Pearl! :D Might I suggest, by the way, that for the Mace arena, you could use Wind Charges (or whatever they’re called LOL) as a sort-of “trampoline” to bounce everyone into the air, so you’re constantly able to Mace each other, and it thus becomes a battle of reflexes to see who can whack the other person first? Just a thought 😅

Hi Pearlo, im sure you dont need it, but i have an idea for your upcoming hammer arena that will let you play a little with redstone as per your season journey :) Basically a room with high ceiling where on the floor there are slime block launchers, just like pressure plates around a slime block with a piston under, but to make it more fun, you can disable them. Either have them turn on randomly so you have to chase around and try get an active one, or if that doesn't play well you can just add a cool down to them by adding a comparator signal extender 😊 I think that would make for a fun game, getting the jumps and trying to land a blow 👍 Excited to see what you make of it even if you go a totally different way 😊 Also, think cub forgot to mention, when you've made your arena it is your turn to pick a new member to the club that shall not be named here :P

Idea: For the dock nether portal, you can add maps, ender chest, and other functional blocks to keep the interior more interesting but also not as cluttered for the foot traffic.
