A husband that wants to spend time with her? Every wife should be so fortunate. I hope she takes this advice and they have a long loving marriage.

we use to live in a tiny house with our then 7 year old twin daughters and we had to share a loft with them at the time and therefore my husband and I rarely had privacy. My husband was getting frustrated that we did not have intimacy much. We decided that we would explain in an appropriate way to our girls that mommy and daddy need to have "romantic" alone time and that this is important for keeping a marriage strong and happy. So we would ask the girls to give us some space in the tiny house while they played outside or watched a movie downstairs. This turned out better and less awkward then I had thought it would be. They are 11 now and we live in a bigger house with more space, but we still tell them that mommy and daddy will be having romantic time and we will close and lock our bedroom door. They are all for us having that space and time for each other. Its not at all awkward anymore. we just don't make it a big deal. In fact they seem glad when we do tell them . If anything, what bothers them is when we argue, that is when they get upset and want to make sure everything is ok.

What a beautiful couple. Blessed to have been directed to this channel. I put a sermon of his on and fall asleep and they just keep playing. As I sleep I learn. 💕 my whole attitude has changed this last week since starting this. I crave the Lord and to know Him. To be a true servant. Thank you! Thank you Lord.

An underlying issue is probably that she is not getting the kids to bed on time. If the kids were in bed by 7-8 pm there would be no need to put them in front of a movie for the parents to have alone time. And it would be much better for the children. “Sleep raises a child well,” is a Japanese saying.

God said the two become one flesh. If the parents are fulfilling the love of GOD in there marriage , the children will better understand the biblical principle of marriage between Christ and the church

This was very very good council. It sounds like this woman bordered on making an idol of her children with perceived priority to them over her husband as an excuse. But this was 5 years ago, so I hope she and her whole family are blessed in the Way of the Lord now.

A-men! You did not marry your kids, you married your HUSBAND. While it's great to pour yourself into the next generation...your husband comes at a higher priority. I loved how Mike said "it's sexy", lol! Because it's TRUE! How many men loudly vocalize this and actually make plans like this? She should be grateful he is going to her instead of bottling it up and going fishing or golfing all the time alone...or worse! Her taking it to 3 marriage counselors makes it seem like she's trying to justify HER actions. I bet she was suprised y'all said hubby first....I hope the other ones did as well! This was once again, a great nugget of wisdom! Thank you for sharing this!

Sounds like he needs s ome quality time with his wife who probably spends alot of time with the kids. Id say give him some time! Usually its the woman complaining that the husband d oesnt spend enough time with her. Make sure your huaband knows hes loved too while you are guving so much to the children.

The husband should establish a 'date night' so to speak where at least once a week they get an afternoon/evening all to themselves and can hang out like old times. It is really weird that the husband would want his wife to not care for their children as much as possible... Why not help her with some of the work so she's not so busy and can sit with him at the game, for example?

You mentioned "good bible videos" could you specifically tell me a few i can use for my kiddos? I'd really rather not put them in front of the tv without having a good guide of what to show them. thank you!!! and God Bless your ministry. I'm currently reading Created to be his Help Meet and its changed MY perspective on being a humble, submissive wife I really couldn't grasp for the past 7 years of our marriage. I am so grateful my brother gave to me to during my current marriage difficulties and God for putting it in his view. Again thank you and God Bless!!!

Women, please stop sacrificing your marriage for your children. It is sinful and harmful for everyone. Children look up to mommy and daddy to understand what marriage and a loving relationship is all about. And when your children grow up, marry and move out of the house, you will have a hard time letting go. Children should not be the centre of your life. They cannot come before God or before your husband. Remember, you will never be a good mother without being a good wife first.

Guys don’t leave wives because of there faults just look at hosea or jesus Who despising the shame and endured the cross... he loves us dispite not because. Serve her and she will come around, point her to scripture and pray. I disagree about making her cancel things. I am the dead of my home as a servant leader

Finally a comment that gives men a little credit and deems them capable of functioning without "time together". Women don't like needy men. It's creepy.

I can't believe what she wrote. Sitting the kids in front of a movie??? Questioning her husband's leadership??? And not being in submission to her husband??? I think she and her husband need to get back to basics. It sounds like they're very much living in a compromised life. She can't serve 2 masters. And she sounds like she is already resenting one of them...
