Peavey Special 112 (1990)

Cool,,,I believe I have the same amplifier,, I originally bought it in 91 new! And it's very loud, on one part of the amp it says 500 watts on another it says 160 w., I think it's a 1990 but I'm trying to find the exact year and what speaker it has cuz there's no name or markings on the speaker. I believe they said they either came with a scorpion or a celestion.. anybody have any ideas? I'm wondering from the numbers in the serial number if I can figure out the exact year.

Scorpion speaker.its 160 watts output at 4 ohm and the amps power consumption is 500 watts.

what's the difference between Peavey Special 112 and Peavey Bandit 112 ?

Hello, the only difference is the power, the bandit is 80w and the special 160w. Cheers

I have this model of amplifier,1990? and I have played through some Bandits and from what I remember the bandits had a little more edgy razorry sound? And like someone else said, they had less wattage.
