Very humble and inspiring to know that solos were written on that amp. I had a Peavey 212 Transformer and it was fucking sick. I regret selling it.

I started playing in 1985 when i was 12 years old. In the 39 years since i have owned virtually every Transtube Peavey amp ever released. From the original Bandit to the Backstage and even the Rage they are the sound of my entire childhood. I have a 6505+ 112 combo sitting not 6 feet from me as I type this and it represents the culmination of a loooong line of amps throughout the decades. I look at that amp and see my first pawnshop Bandit that went through jr. high and high school with me. Those were such wonderful times.
@geoffreymatheson92065 ай бұрын
My first "real amp" was a Bandit, mine was a red stripe version. That thing was in another universe compared to my Marshall MG10 practice amp that couldn't keep up with my friend's drumkit. Insane how good Peavey managed to get those amps sounding. When I moved out my Bandit spent a few years in my parents' garage and recently I got it back to sell it and it still worked flawlessly. The guy I sold it to got a whole lot of amp for $75. I've got the EVH 5150 Iconic 15w combo beside me now.

@@geoffreymatheson9206 I use an Iconic halfstack in my band for live shows. I use the 6505+ for practices. I remember when I got that first Bandit my mom was soon rethinking the decision to buy it for me. 🤣 I warned her it was no joke but she learned the hard way.

I can’t tell you how inspired I was as a teen in high school seeing you work out your solos on that practice amp in “The Making of ‘The Impossibly Of Reason’ Studio Update 2” video you had on Roadrunner’s website that I did the same for hours on end struggling to figure out how to shed for 20 years Now I not only got it ( and can fly with the fastest of them now, not that speed matters ), but I got it in a matter of weeks after seeing you start this channel with something perceived as “a bad habit” to some that you do while playing riffs lol Thanks Rob, hope we can jam some day
