This has got to be one of the best pie making videos I've ever seen. Super helpful, and knowing I could mix the syrups and add more eggs gave me a sense of freedom with the cooking, I know I can get it just right to my preferences now! 👍

We've just come to the end of pecan season here in south Alabama. We had a good season this year. Good , healthy yields on most varieties. The previous 4-5 year's crops have been the worst I've ever seen. Year before last l had not A SINGLE pecan on several of my trees. Poor yields are usually the result of inconsistent rains during early formative stage of the young muts. Thank goodness with inflation the way it is, l had a good harvest this season! Otherwise Christmas dinner and morning under the tree was liable to be a pretty Spartan affair. Gotta say Wil, for a California boy, you make a damn fine lookin pecan pie! I always figured pecan pie to be confined primarily to the Southeastern US. Glad to see y'all enjoy it out there too. Now cook us up a mess o' Collard Greens and Buttermilk Cornbead! It's gluten free man....
