PECKETT'S PICK UP GOODS

Christmas has come and gone, but its still the perfect time to #pickupapeckett
This superb little ‪@HornbyModelRailways‬ Peckett B2 was put to work on the Christmas pick up goods which is seen here calling in at the colliery.
Thank you to ‪@MrTBrearley‬ for the loan of the wagons and the beautiful colliery buildings that have opened up, this otherwise, very unfinished part of the layout.

Merry Christmas. An interesting observation, I am sure the center driving wheel rotated slightly before the other two wheels as the locomotive started moving.

Thanks Anthony - merry Christmas! 🎄Yes a common thing when a model loco changes direction, it’s usually the wheel that is driven by the motor - the others only move because of the coupling rods where there will always be some slack 👍

I bought my mate over in Canada The Earle Peckitt B2, brand new for his seasonal Christmas Village layout. Its already burn out what appears to be the PCB, not the motor. Its now got to be sent all the way back to Hornby in the UK for repair or replacement. Meanwhile, his many years old original Hornby Christmas Goods trainset 0-4-0 loco keeps puffing along with no issues
