@@dethmaul he does all his own filming and editing, writes and performs all the music and his tornado footage is second to none. I think a lot of people forget to show appreciation and praise to Hank for making his own background music. It really sets the mood, intense, calm, ethereal. He makes all this beautiful music that just flies by our minds while we watch the stunning footage he captures. I bet you never once question the music in the background and go "this music doesn't really fit in". You either notice the music because you want to, or it fits in so well its just brushes past your conscious. Very talented, very creative, and all around quality.. you just create amazing content in many forms Hank. 👍👍👍👍👍

This is one of the reasons I've always loved Pecos Hank's videos. Instead of just looking at a tornado, he often captures the whole swirling architecture of the supercell. We are able to see so much more - the tails of clouds steaming into the supercell, the sky turning icy green, and the myriad ghostly vortices that dance all around the outside of the tornado. I had no idea that such things even existed. Amazing music, again.

There are a few thing in my old age I enjoy more than to see a video by you. About three weeks ago I drove across Texas twice and no weather until I got to Louisiana and Mississippi. Being from Arizona the rain I experienced in Louisiana would have been a hundred year down pour but it was nothing to the locals. But crossing into Texas on I-10 and seeing exit 886 floored me. Almost 900 miles to New Mexico. And I enjoyed every mile. In fact the West Texas Desert is exactly like the one I grew up in. I didn't know what to expect. But getting back to this video I believe it was your best one. You have many talents and I can't wait to see your next one. Be well Sir.

I was chasing on May 25th with the IL College Of DuPage Storm Chasers that night. It was one of the most intense thunderstorms i have even seen in my entire life as a kid growing up in IL and nothing was comparable to that night. We were near Grady New Mexico in the mountains or hills towards the south while there was rotation towards the north downhill with the most intense lightning I’ve seen in many many years. We sat out there 40 minutes to enjoy the light show while predicting if the rotation downhill would spawn a tornado. Within those 40 minutes nothing happened so we assumed that was the end of it so we headed back until 5 minutes later after driving downhill we spotted a big wedge tornado that was probably on the ground for a good couple minutes but it was very hard to see it. It was therefore my first tornado that I have ever seen in New Mexico. It was such a Beaty with 50mph - 70mph winds by us while it sounded like a freight train while the tornado was about 4-7 miles from us. We tried to call it in, but nobody answered (WHICH IS A PROBLEM) but luckily it was in the middle of nowhere and only lasted for several minutes that night. My estimate of the tornado was probably anywhere between an EF1 to an EF2 at most but it was really big and it almost looked like an EF3 instead but again it was in the middle of nowhere. I’ll never forget that night and that trip I was on with college of DuPage. MOTHER NATURE is such a Beauty and this is why I want to become an Extreme Professional Storm Chaser like many others because it’s been my passion since I was 6. Great video

I was fortunate to be in the exact right place to watch a mesocyclone spawn two tornadoes in Elko County, Nevada last month. My video of it was interrupted by the tornado warning. My friend at the National Weather Service was really excited about the pics and videos. One of them was rated an EF2 based on my video, and did some damage to a ranch. They were the first tornadoes in the county in at least ten years, he told me. Once in a lifetime experience. We just don't get them out here. I didn't know about mesocyclones until my friend explained them. This video is excellent.

It is because of Hank’s content that I have already begun to train myself as a storm spotter for my family when we go out driving in a bad storm while our area is under tornado watch, and I’ll tell you, when I use the proper terms for storm formations my parents have no idea what I’m talking about half the time lol. But I’m determined to learn and train myself to essentially be the family storm spotter in order to keep myself and my family safe in rough weather because I know how terrifying Kentucky can be during tornado season, and I live up on a hill/cliff where our whole neighborhood is, I have had to learn to be acutely aware of and sensitive to the signs of an incoming bad and potentially dangerous storm to the point that on stormy days I periodically look out my office window to check on the branches of our evergreen tree outside to make sure that they are moving a concerning amount or in a concerning way. Thank you Hank for inspiring me to keep an eye on the sky to help protect my family and my community, happy trails

Warned my husband it was tornado weather and he laughed, "This is Germany, we don't get tornadoes!" I didn't laugh. I told him I'm American, I know my tornadoes lol. Turns out one spawned and ran straight down the highway just north of us during that storm. Nobody died but my husband listens to me now on the rare occasions that I warn him, lol.
