Hank is really the only storm chaser that I enjoy watching. He has the best narrator voice and doesn’t yell obnoxiously like all the others. His videos are so entertaining and he inspired me to want to know more about storms. Keep up the amazing work, Hank!

Here’s a crazy story for y’all. I got recommended one of his videos like 3 days after we started our tornado unit in my science of natural disasters class and today is one of the last days of our tornado unit so I decided to talk to my teacher about these videos. Turns out, my teacher used to be a storm chaser and knows Pecos Hank.

I live in Dallas and that tornado came about a mile from my house. It was insane since we rarely get tornados inside the city limits. It leveled some houses and other buildings which still haven't been rebuilt as of October 2021. Amazing too that nobody died considering it went through a huge city.

I'd rather not mess with an EF5 unless it's traversing open country 5 miles away and moving away from me. If not, I have a fair amount of venomous reptile experience, so I would feel far more confident in my abilities to safely handle venomous snakes than messing with a tornado. Or as Hank would say, "Don't try this at home. Do it away from home in a remote location far away from medical attention"...

I had my grandma read me tornado books since before I could read. I’ve had a mild obsession ever since. But since I live up in the northeast we don’t get that much action. But I hope someday to see, hear, and experience a photogenic tornado in person. Until then, I look forward to your mastery of Cinematography each year. You truly capture the magic that is mother nature, from weather, to landscapes, to animals. Thank you so much Hank for living the dream and making this Connecticuter’s day!

"What do you do when there's a tornado warning? You stand out in the street" Yeah it's kinda surprising to see how little people care when a dangerous storm is actually coming close. When I worked at McDonalds and a gas station it always shocked me how many people just didn't care when the visibility outside is 2 feet because of the rain. Sirens going off, wind blowing sideways, doors locked and grills shut off because of the danger, yet over the intercom you just hear "Hello?! Hello!!! I want to order!!!"

In all fairness, these things are super chill and move predictably. I havent handled one before, but I have handled tailess whip scorpions which handle similarly and are more nightmare-fuel-ish in appearance. You would probably stop being afraid of them in a few minutes.

I tell you, that intro is probably one of my favorite intros to anything ever. Those dramatic pieces of film with that song, it's definitely the most intense thing I'll see that isn't an actual tornado in person while listening to that song.

Hank, that Canadian, TX Tornado was a beast!!! I'm glad you were able to get away from it fast enough!! And that roar sent a chill down my spine. Hearing a roar like that kinda makes you realize or remember that you're dealing with something that kills people and you either freeze in absolute terror or you turn the vehicle around and floor it as fast as the vehicle can go and get the hell outta there!! Also, it was a Dilophosaurus that was inspired by The Frilled Dragon, not the Velociraptor.

Honestly it’s that way in any Midwest state lol. I live in Indiana and every time there is a severe storm is see like 5 people in my neighborhood on their front porch watching the storm

@@natecrosbie9516 yep, i live in eastern Colorado and it's the same way. Our county gets the most touchdowns in our state, and people are so used to watches or warnings that we just ignore them a lot of the time. Granted, our county is super big, so most of the time it's the easternmost part of the county. But sometimes it can get really close (as seen in the tornado that could be seen from Boulder and other cities around it)

I'm a newbie here to these "Hankerings". Just one of your 6min chase videos hooked me . Your experience in chasing & informative narrative was quite enjoyable. So I commenced my exploration into your channel. It was there I discovered the one they call Pecos Hank isn't your average storm chaser. In fact ole Pecos Hank isn't your average anything! This feller here is darn well read when it comes to reptiles, amphibians, & insects. He is one heck of a photographer/videographer some of his footage and still frames are truly iconic. He captures the epic grandeur of nature with style. And come to find out is an extremely talented musician. I doubt that's all but that's what I gleaned before watching another video(this one). Happy to be a subscriber. Thanx for providing great content to all. 🌈

“It wasn’t me” 😂 I love your videos! I love your voice as a narrator! I love your love for the animals! And I absolutely love your love and respect of the storms. Other videos have people yelling and freaking out, I greatly enjoy that you do not!
