The carvings are echoed in my 1910-20 American bedroom set..there was a resurgence of interest in anything medieval at that time. You find the medieval theme turning up in all manner of items! What I'm curious about, is, we see the Tudor rose, but..what about the crest on the shield! Could it identify who it was crafted for, or is it simply a stylized version... And that young chap is just the cutest 😊 !!
