You guys should check out some Frederic Effect fuzz pedals. Just picked up their square wave fuzz. It gets super strange and saturated, but can also cover really nice, normal fuzz tones.

And given that he was from Haîti the name is french and means Saturday

Sa-may-dee. Baron Samedi (English: Baron Saturday) also written Baron Samdi, Bawon Samedi, or Bawon Sanmdi, is one of the loa of Haitian Vodou. Samedi is a loa of the dead, along with Baron's numerous other incarnations Baron Cimetière, Baron La Croix, and Baron Kriminel. He is syncretized with Saint Martin de Porres.[citation needed]

It's closer to "sam-dee" with a shorter "ee" sound. We don't really pronounce that vowel in this word in French, at least I've never heard anyone I know pronounce the "e" except to joke around. :) EDIT : That's for "France French" pronunciation, I don't know about the local New Orleans French dialect pronunciation
@AlecMacintosh5 жыл бұрын
Sam-dee for Acadian and Québecois French as well. Louisiana's full of ex-Acadians so I'm sure it's the same there. Acadian is where "a cajun" comes from, but that's not how to say Acadian. That being said, Haitian Creole isn't French despite being a French-based Creole, so I'll defer to any Haitians who pronounce it differently.

Baron Samedi is the guy who runs the voodoo ceremony in the Caribbean, in Haiti, on Saturday night, to raise the zombies. Samedi is Saturday, in french (pronunciation : sam.di). They speak French in Haiti. Samedi is “day of the Sabbath” (from latin "sabbati dies").

Do an episode on the Vintage Roland AP-7 Jet Phaser, & it’s modern day clones like the Loud Button Electronics Morphine Dream. You could also include other similar effects like the old Jet Flanger by Ibanez/or Maxon (If I’m Remembering Correctly) Paul Gilbert had His signature Jet Flanger pedal model after it.
