I've owned two of the Pedersoli Kodiak rifles. My first one was a 58 calibre Kodiak and my current one is a 72 calibre Safari Express rifle. Both of them were and are excellent rifles. With my 58 I shot 100 grains of 2F and a patched round ball. Accurate out to 100 yards. Both barrel impacts sometimes touched at 50 yards and were almost touching at 100. It also liked the TC maxi ball but I liked shooting round ball so it's what I stuck with. The round ball load was an excellent moose and black bear load. My 72 uses 90 grains of 2F and a patched round ball. Also very accurate. It was difficult to find a patch that would work but once I found one my accuracy went from what you were demonstrating to touching at 50 yards.

I have one in .54 and I use Track of the Wolf's minie balls and have found them to be exceptionally accuratr. The skirt expands allowing to to fully engage the rifling.

I tried several other rounds that were lighter weight. They shot accurate but the barrels hit far apart(8-15”) wasn’t until I got above 420grains did the barrels hit to a single point of aim. I got another video coming where I mounted a leupold QR base and 1-4 scope to it. Is very accurate with both barrels hitting within 1/2” of each other with a 460 grain bullet over 70grains of blackhorn 209. Really wanting a safari hunt with it 😎. Thanks for watching.

@@christopherwiggins712 70 grains seems to be the magic number cuz that's the charge I use with a 400 grain minie 👍

That rifle should be able to print each barrel within a few inches of each other at 100 yards. Did you take a deer?
@christopherwiggins7125 ай бұрын
@@pamtnman1515 this one seems to be regulated at 70M or approx 75yds. It prints close to an inch from each barrel but closer to the inch and a half. I was able to take a deer and have that video on my channel.

Nice video. How’d it shoot with the 420 gr no excuses? Or did you just wanna shoot the 460s?

I tried the sampler pack the 420,460,495, and 600 grains. Each set was accurate for each barrel along but surprisingly the 460 and 600 grain were the closest together(both barrels with one sight) the 420 and 495 were not as good.

This is a .50cal SxS, with the test size kit from no excuses the .501 worked best with slight rifling engraving on entry.
