pEDH Gameplay #10 - Mardu Roughrider v Bear’s Companion v Warden of the Eye v Sultai Soothsayer

For this game we focused on building around the cycle of uncommon creatures from Khans of Tarkir. What we ended up with was a mix of combo decks, aggro decks, and even a zombie tribal deck focused on the graveyard. Here we have Dalton on Mardu Roughrider, Cory playing Bear’s Companion, Marcus on Warden of the Eye, and Matt rounding us off with Sultai Soothsayer

It’s definitely a cool commander to build around. You can go full Flicker combo or lean into a graveyard/zombie based deck like Matt did here.

Cool game guys, I'd expected Dalton to come out on top seeing as he had such a huge life advantage, but the combo finish was a great outcome. I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do with the new 3c uncommon commanders from New Capenna. I'd also like to see more deck techs please!

Grim Harvest should exile itself sometime around 21:30. Also, Matt: Don't tap out against Flicker decks with Rotten Reunion in your graveyard :C I saw Gavin's comment about the combo finish before I saw the end of the game and I was sitting there watching like "I wonder how the flicker deck plays around this" and "Matt runs out of black mana to cycle Gempalm" was not the outcome I was expecting XD (though I suppose if it came to it Cory could've merced it with the Heirloom? Seems like everyone forgot about it XD

Good catch and solid points. Also, with Cory's Heirloom in play I (Marcus) tried to make him tap it by targeting Hide Tide in my yard but he correctly let me grab it rather than activating in response lol. I knew I was stuck between a (Mana) rock and a hard place when he played it lol.
