Pediatric Surgery Tour at University of Michigan Health-West

This five-minute video provides a behind-the-scenes look at the surgery center and shows what to expect when children come to University of Michigan Health-West for surgery. Hosted by a certified child life specialist, this tour explains the purpose for surgery and follows a young girl as she experiences check-in and pre-surgery, visits the operating room and prepares to go home. She also meets doctors, nurses and other team members who help her through the process. (We recommend that a family member watch this tour with the child having surgery.)
