I had a client two weeks ago that had her big toenail removed and insisted that I do her pedi, her nail was almost healed but I couldn't do it. She got angry at me saying that she doesn't have anything. I explained to her that I was concerned that it's not her it is me. Long story short she is coming back in 3 weeks. I felt bad however it was for her safety.she finally got it 😊keep being fantastic!!

Your videos have made me realize how important healthy feet and toes are, I've had 7 kids and it took this video for me to hear you say that cutting nails straight across the top is not the proper way to do it,so thanks Lori. Your client in this video has had a great pedicure and a great laugh too, her nails and toes look really healthy. ❤️🇨🇮

I have never done anyone's nails before but I do take care of a widow and try my best to give her pedicures. It is so scary to cut someone else's nails, toe nails...older peoples toenails...but I have learned not to use clippers, but nippers. You'd probably laugh at how I do it, but I am doing my best!! The more practice, the better! Thank you SO much for these tutorials. She won't go to a professional, so I'm it!! lol!

I had the sides of both my big toenails surgically removed because of ingrown toenails (wasn’t fun 😱) and learned after that from my medical pedicure professional I should never cut them straight! Like you are saying, it really is a myth! Now I’ll always clip or file the corners round, no problems anymore. Still have very deep nail grooves so I would love to win one of your instruments!

Hello!! I love all of your tutorials, both manicure and pedicure! This pedicure was really fascinating. Seeing the results of a removed ingrown toenail was so cool. And learning that cutting your toenails 'squared' isn't always best. Going with the natural curve is basically a protection from gunk settling into the sides of the toenails. Thank you!! This'll definitely help me when performing my own pedicures. ❤️❤️👣

God bless you for helping me understand why my curved toenails always give me problems. I thought cutting them square would fix it but what you explain makes total sense. If you have deep nail grooves and cut square you can let the sides dig in to the grooves. Better to correct the groove itself by letting the nail grow with it's normal shape and keep the tissue soft while it grows out to prevent ingrown toenails.

I remember that puffy pink toe skin from when I was a teenager with ingrowns on both big toes. My mom made me soak them in Epsom salts and hot water, but they oozed so much every day that my socks would stick to them. She finally took me to a podiatrist who removed the side roots that were causing the problem, plus a bonus one on a second toe that had gotten oozy recently. I think removing the main source of infection really helped because I never had a problem on any other toes. For any who might wonder, my big toes look perfectly normal.. the side root really just anchors the main nail, it doesn't cover the nail bed at all.

Since watching your videos I've learned the proper way to treat my ingrown big toenails... My pedicurist would only snip the little pointy nail but, she didn't clean the toenail wells or pull out all the impacted skin. So, for the very first time after carefully watching your tutorials on how to clean and gently pull out the buildup dead skin, I did it myself. My pedicurist refused to do this for me and told me there wasn't any buildup... To my amazement and great satisfaction, I gently wiggled and pulled out the buildup! A huge amount I may add since it was the first time. Thank you so much for showing me how to take care of my feet, even rubbing that area after showering and cleaning/caring for my ingrown toenails. I think all professional pedicurists should learn this. Not only will they truly be helping their customers but, they'll gain and retain customers by giving the extra attention to those who have specific needs. The good news is I showed a tutorial of this to my pedicurist and she was so impressed! She finally realized she could do this and now she incorporates this with my pedicures. She told me they do not teach this in school... now she has many more requests!

I recently completed my cosmo license in Hawaii and although I like cutting hair, I found out I prefer working in the spa with mani/pedis and massages. I started school not to have a career to earn money but to be able to give back to the community especially the children and elderly who can’t afford necessary services. I accidentally found your videos and am addicted. For the holidays I came to Texas to visit my parents and my father is a diabetic with heart issues as well. My mother does his basic pedicures just to clean and observe them for the podiatrist. I showed her your videos and now she’s hooked and wants to go and see you for her feet! Now I know where you are but you’re a long way from Texas 🙁. Anyway, I wanted to say that you’ve directed my purpose of what to do with my cosmo license. I’d like to work under a podiatrist to one day offer these same services to the elderly in nursing homes as well as haircuts. God bless you and I hope one day our paths will cross.
