Calm down. The average age of this team has come down massively in Xavi's era and it's pretty clear that Hansi flick too has to work on youngsters because of the FFP. So the team is supposed to be athletic in this age but saying anything about the mentality and stuff is just far stretched given the fact that we haven't even played big games yet.

Penalty wasn’t even really his fault. Balde slipped on what should have been an easy clearance and Cubarsi had to scramble to make up for it.

MVP contenders for me today were: 1. Raphinha 2. Pedri/Balde 3. Yamal/Kounde/Bernal Tbf everyone played well, Even when Bilbao scored I was still confident we would get the win I have not felt that way for a long time.

20:25 somehow I think that you mixed up the ratings for Pau Cubarsi and Inigo Martinez. Don't let the penalty blind you from all the fantastic stuff Cubarsi did in the build up, line breaking pass after line breaking pass. The only moments he looked shaky in defending, including the penalty, came as a result of him covering for Inigo who was a few steps slower than both Berenguer and Inaki during that 1st half (if you look at all the ground duels he lost, a fair few were in that left half-space that Inigo should be defending). But don't just take my word for it, Valverde post match said "We wanted to stop Barça to play from the back but it was almost impossible because Pau Cubarsi didn't miss a single pass".

flick plays similar style as xavi but much more dynamic, which probably allows lewa to "move more"

@@ASH-su6nbit’s really not similar. With Xavi everything went through the wings. With Flick, there’s much more emphasis on central play, combinations, triangles. Less emphasis on individual ability

Have to disagree on Cubu's rating. His passing out of the back was perfect, I counted at least 3 passes into final 3rd in first half that split whole Athletic team. Even Valverde praised him after the game.

I disagree with the ratings of Balde (7), Cubarsi (7) like seriously why a 6?? Even Valverde said he was vital. I'm not sure about the method used to score players. It shouldn't be based on potential but rather performance.

Niko didn't get support from team mates to make 2v1 situations when niko is very lethal , niko 1v1 against world class is not good. He is versatile, world class but not generational like yamal, saka, vini, leao(sometimes) to be able to carry whole team single handedly. He needs other players to be threat to thrive beautifully. Love to niko, for his show of loyalty to his family, team (atleast for this season). Respect his decision. Barca fans need to understand that to be better fans. Don't be toxic. There is no right or wrong.

Omg this guy dont understand the reason we dont get pressured is because of cubarsi passing. His able to deliver passes to the wingers and midfielders with ease. His intelligence on the ball looks normal because his the one doing it. U will notice this when Araujo and other defenders start. Cubarsi passing is so vital to this team.

Cubarsi is class lol you’re saying he isn’t performing to the level he was which is true kind of even tho it’s only been two games but also as a barca fan we can feel the defense feels secure in a way it hasn’t for a while even when we had a good record a few years ago and it’s crazy that a 17 yr old cubarsi is a starter in that system. Giving you an 8.5. Didn't agree with cubarsi rating tho, would have given him a flat 7. He deserved a 7.5 but the penalty resulted in - 0.5. As valverde said cubarsi carried our first play generation, I mean the reason inigo looked not too good or too bas was because of cubarsi. Really solid progressive passing for an exceptional player. Anyway visca barca.

Cubarsi looks like Eric 2.0 fantastic on the ball and can make line breaking passes but he is not a pull up your shorts and defend player. Pedri if he stays fit can be the best midfielder in the world. His ability to get out of tight spaces is a joy to watch.

Mark Bernal was magical 🪄, his one touch passing and nicking balls off the opponent was 👍🏻 The only thing I fear is the injuries to young players as they are playing almost full games and we don't have many capable back ups who are fit. Plus Yamal is the only RW we have.

I put Pedri in the class of players who have “silk”. It’s like they feel no pressure and just have the ball at their will. It’s amazing, mesmerizing. Neymar, iniesta, Ronaldinho, Busi, Kaka. I like the player rating format but expect more on the roles during the whole game not just the memorable moments. Pedri was good to me but not 9.5, he was slow to think many times, even the assist, Rafinha spotted the space before him and adjusted his position on the ball to be able to make that pass when Pedri makes the run, the run from Pedri was almost too late. The goal happened because of some good fortune. Very similar to the goal Barca scored against Juvi in the final of UEFA, but the timing of iniesta's run was, of course, inch perfect.

I feel like the breakdown for the players was great in your video The only thing is a lot of the ratings did not make sense. Like the balde and the ferran. Nothing in the breakdown just the numbers. I think if you were to adopt a rating with with that rating means it would help. Like 5 - average 6 - decent can improve 7 - play good 8 - played great 9 - played great and some 10 - Messi level

I think 6 for Cubarsi is a bit harsh. The penalty was really unfortunate, and besides that he was pretty good defensively. On the other hand, other than Pedri, he was the reason they couldn’t really press us, with his line breaking passes. Ferran wasn’t bad, but I don’t think he was better than Cubarsi

He should have had an hatrick. Which kills the game earlier and allows rotations. We need to keep balde fit.. He’s essential. Gavi does not start in this team. I don’t mind olmo coming in and playing false 9. Rotate lewa earlier in matches. He doesn’t need to play 90 mins. He doesn’t press late in games. Bernal is incredible!!!
