Nice bike 👍😉 A problem with recreating anything from a movie is they often have several props that aren’t functional, just a portion that fits the particular scene. That you were able to create a functional bicycle that closely resembles the movie is commendable. I’ve been considering making one that looks similar, but less attention to the details.

A buddy of mine came to visit the other day. He had never seen the bike up close. Just through my Facebook posts and what not. He said it was like it just came out of the movie. It's so cool having the bike in front of me and riding it around town.

$250?! Thats a steal!!!! Yeah....I have my bike inside the house. Every time I pass by it I smile. It's an awesome feeling. If you need help getting parts check out "bigadventure bikes" on Instagram!! Tyler is a pro and makes stuff IDENTICAL to the movie bike!!

@@RickDawg527 yeah I couldn’t believe it when I saw it and I quickly checked the Serial Number and it was 1952 from Chicago and I will definitely check him out! About how much did yours cost in total after everything was finished.

@@codyshorrorcollection so I had to go through a bunch of different avenues to get the stuff I needed (I made a complete list of EVERYTHING. Send me a message on instagram so i can send it to you. RICKDAW527). In the end it was around $4500. BUT, like I mentioned, Tyler (the guy that runs the big adventure bikes page) can make custom stuff waaaaaaay cheaper than what I paid. The rear tire skirts. The saddle bags. The chain guard. All the stuff I had no clue how to get, HE can get. He's a super cool guy that is super passionate about the bike. Hit him up on instagram!

So there's a few Delta head lights on ebay. At the time I bought mine for $90. That was over a year ago. The saddlebags were a bit harder to find. I got those from a seller on ebay as well

I actually just started my X1 project for the saddle bags what would you estimate the cost to run for the completed set? I have found a completed set for approx $1,600 and trying to determine if this can be done significantly cheaper? I've only acquired the frame, seat, and lion siren to date but I only began this journey 3 weeks ago. Your build is incredible though! Did you have to replace the lion siren, or just epoxy it back together?
@RickDawg527 Жыл бұрын
Hey Mike! So when i started my build, I reached out on classic schwinn groups for help. I found someone that made 3D printed saddlebags. Only downside was that they were made from that 3D filament, so in the summertime when it'd get hot, they'd warp. They were cheaper than fiberglass ones, but the quality was bad over time. I'm guessing you have been in contact with Tyler at "big adventure bikes"? He's an awesome guy that does amazing work! I'm building another bike and getting my saddle bags from him, as well as the middle white fin and chrome ribs and the white back tire skirts and chain guard. Basicslly the stuff made specifically for the bike that ya can't get anywhere else. If you have any other questions you can message me on Instagram! "RICKDAWG527." I'd love to help ya if I can!
