Great product. I've used it many times. I wonder if it can be used over gel coat repairs to get a smoother finish. I have problems with orange peel when spraying it.

it should work we have used this with polyester and vinylester resins so i cant imagine it wouldn't work with polyester gelcoat?.

I did the bottom of my 3 meter rowboat with fiberglass over plywood. But not realizing the peel ply option, it came out gloppy looking with overfilled epoxy resin in many areas. surrounded by underfilled resin areas despite my best efforts at rolling. If I sanded the surface dull and put more resin on but Peel Ply this time, I'm guessing it would probably be too late as the underlying hardened epoxy is already thick and thin, correct? I probably need to fair with fairing compound and sand smooth.

HI Paul, the peel ply method leaves a good flat keyed surface ready for over coating with more epoxy and is more beneficial at the end of the laying up process. if you did sand back your epoxy and wipe it down with solvent or acetone to remove any grease or amine blush from the old epoxy you could just apply another even coat of epoxy without needing to peel ply?

Hello, our company is leading recycler of plastics in India. We have Tonnes of peel ply waste. It is impossible to remove the resin or the silicone coating from it. Is it possible to provide any solution for the same? It would be a great help for us.
