I am currently watching all of your Vlog Brothers videos (thanks to a very helpful playlist) mostly in the background because it seems youtube recommends to people connected to you via meta-data and I want to promote your content. However, whenever I sit at my computer and watch several of your videos which have been running in the background (ostensibly for the enjoyment of a cat named Sheebie -memorized mnemonically because She Be a Cat) I come away with a smile and a greater awareness of the vast sleeping intellect I have leftover from the college I dropped out from. Needless to say, this is a bittersweet feeling and I want much more of it. Thankyou for always being you! IWFTBA

Every time I read Shawn's updates on Twitter, I love Twitter (and Shawn, his selflessness and his general made of awesome self) more. My class at school has to come up with a fundraising activity and donate the money we raise to some sort of charity. I'm thinking of convincing my teacher that the Uncultured Project is a good thing for us to donate the money to. Helping children in Bangladesh + making John eat more peeps = epic win.

Oh John... I would never laugh if you had to go through the agony of eating over 100, 200, definitely over 300 Peeps... hopefully no more than that... in such a short span of time... Why would you put yourself in such pain and danger? Who knows what that many peeps would do to you if you ate them that fast... John you really have to stop underestimating the power of the Nerdfighters... If I was a Nerdfighter at this point in time than I would've fought against this punishment/challenge. Hey, I really appreciate your efforts in actually helping society rather than just making videos for no cause. The problem with society (including myself) is, even if you were to show people images of how people are suffering it doesn't mean a lot. They change the channel and say, "oh those poor people>" Then they ( and myself) change the channel and forget about it. It's sad but as you said, if there is an emotional connection ppl will care. It's not everyone, but a large chunk of people.

Bangladesh is close to my heart because my old high school funds a school on Bhola Island in Bangladesh :( And we don't have peeps here in Australia, but I've seen all the peeps videos, plus more, so good luck with that. I've donated $20 :S

I have eaten exactly one peep in my 18 years of life. It was Christmas-themed and neon green. I don't know why I are the Christmas peep, or when. I am Jewish, and they don't actually sell peeps where I live. It was a strange experience

i had the same sort of thing happen to me when i heard, about 7 and a half years ago, that a plane crashed into the world trade center. my first thought was "oh my god, my dad's flying to virgina today!" completely ignoring the fact that new york city is in no way on the way to virginia from ohio. or, a couple hours later, when i heard that another one crashed in pennsylvania and i started panicking for my grandparents in pennsylvania, 200 miles away from where the plane crashed. wow.

John... I know I'm late for this, and I know you're not a mathematician, but follow the "desert bus" rules where it costs $15 for the first and 50% more for every additional peep. That way it doesn't cost much to make you eat a reasonable amount of peeps, but you are unlikely to be required to eat your weight in peeps due to underestimating the nerdfighters. You can determine the $ requirement for any particular number of peeps by graphing this function: y=1.5x^2+15. Best wishes.
