The "haka naku tayutau" part is so damn satisfying, unlike some instrumental videos out there that forces a 11 22 11 22 beat that doesn't really match with the song. What an eargasm, keep up the amazing work.

I can't believe I was not suscribed as I remember watching your covers a lot back then. Again, this is the cover version of this song so far! Your covers are more than covers as you add so much of you to them. Your skill, soul and style made them unique at best and way better than the standard rock-metal cover for me. Can't wait for more and thanks.

@@PeetaPlays what scale is that btw? i want to play like that too 😆
@PeetaPlays5 жыл бұрын
@@muflih2308 I don't really use the concept of scales. All you actually need for guitar is knowing the pentatonic in all positions and be aware of how the chords underneath the music you're playing are moving. Play around with notes 'between' the pentatonic and outline the chords / use strong chord notes (1, 3, 5) as required ;)

This not just might be but is in - my humble opinion atleast - the best version of the track by far. I am a singer without formal education in music so I can't quite put it into words but normaly I feel like this track is extremly straining to sing since I have to sing super deep throat notes or sing super high chest ones but yours just flows like water at the perfect range so I can sing it and the straining comes from me using it as a style not out of necessity (which you shouldn't have to do to begin with but I digress) I therefore would much appreciate it if you let me use this instrumental as a basis for a cover. I would of course credit you for your absolutly amazing instrumentation :) I just have a few things in the works right now and one of those is a persona cover ep and I would love for you to be part of it :) Edit: I just found out you have other tracks as well and holy shit every single one sounds crazy with your original composition (eventhough I only shortly listened to it to get a overview)

Tone, playing, mix... They're all perfect! I'm curious about something: are you still using the S-Gear built-in presets or did you make some of your own?
@PeetaPlays5 жыл бұрын
I still mostly use P03, but I tweak it every time slightly to fit what I'm doing. Sometimes the settings change multiple times in a song. When the 'Memories Of You' part kicks in, this time around I decided to not use the stereo delay from S-Gear for example, so that's disabled. That stereo delay by itself massively impacts how you perceive the tone and it seems so much better with it ;) That particular amp sim can be really fizzy in the high end, especially with my Suhr so I always cut down everything above 10k and sometimes even lower. I also cut down everything below 200hz because it can be too bassy. Healthy amount of mids is what I'm mostly looking for in the mix *when the guitar isn't by itself*
@ZoharEmulator5 жыл бұрын
@@PeetaPlays Oh, I see! I often use the plexmonster too, really dig the way it responds to dynamics and different pickups positions.

Lovely cover! What studio monitors do you use?
@PeetaPlays5 жыл бұрын
I usually record and mix on headphones. And since I'm super cheap, I'm using Superlux HD669 - they have a very flat response and sound pretty good. The actual monitors on my desk are Yamaha HS-60M. They're decent, but I never really liked how music sounds on speakers that are not attached to my head, so I'm not using them that much.
