My nan and grandad lived in looe road Felixstowe.I used to go there for two weeks every school summer holiday.The quickest way to the beach from her house was down Jacobs ladder (I only found out the name of the steps until many years later).Those steps used to go right down to the sand.But with erosion 30 years later,the steps stopped approx 20ft off the ground,making them unusable.That part of the beach was gone,and in its place we're concrete blocks to hold back the sea.My grandad was a manager in one of the docks there, and used to sit on his lap having a drive of the container fork lift trucks (grandad was driving ,but me and my sister thought we were) .All pre health and safety days.Loved my days there.Now my mum has bought a house in chapel st Leonard's,with a 2 minute walk to the beach.It has elements of Felixstowe and takes me back to being a kid again.Btw that Felixstowe pier used to have an inflatable bouncy whale,that you got in through a zip up door.Well one year the wind was so strong it ripped the whales mounts off and took off landing 1/2 a mile up the road luckily inland I think in someone's garden!.That fort was just a ruin.Me and my mate climbed up and got in there.Like kids do.That port i believe at the time was the biggest in Europe.Thanks Ben for refreshing my memories.Kind regards.

Another really nice video, and look at you with 2.3 k subscribers! I commented a few weeks back and you had far less. I really appreciate all the site info, and (while I know this won't be for everyone), I was just thinking that it would be good if you could include if a site is appears to have dog facilities such as bins, fenced exercise field etc, or if pets aren't allowed atcall. I appreciate youre not travelling with a furry companion, but a lot of people do and it may draw extra subs to your channel.

Well technically they are but because I don’t have a leisure battery they will only work wen the key is in the ignition. So I never use them properly which in time will probably destroy the blinds motor but hopefully one day I’ll be able to use them properly. Thanks for watching 👍🍻🚐
