Comparing this to their Casiopea shows in the 80's, I remember how Sakurai always seemed more reserved and focused on his playing, whereas Noro was bouncing around smiling. Here, it's interesting to see the attitudes are reversed. It's good to see Sakurai really enjoying himself.

Noro became way more serious and focus on stage since the departure of both Sakurai and Jimbo just before "The Party" record... Don't know what happening, maybe et knew the great times of the band was over

It's hard to watch a master have the jitters. He is very upbeat and happy when playing with Casiopea 3rd, so I can only assume that a completely different format might have made him feel less prepared than he typically is. You can feel him loosen up as he goes on, and the reality is that the context is just a lot more somber than his others.

My gosh I was literally thinking the same thing, I always appreciated and loved how Noro was always having so much fun doing what he loves and smiling bouncing around on the stage, I wonder how he is like for Casiopea 3rd? And why he isn’t like that in this for example, he’s more reserves like you say and seems to be taking it now too lightly, do you know why that is? And it’s even more weird but awesome of course to me how sakurai is enjoying himself more so than I’ve ever seen, I’d love to know how all this came to be!

Wierd seeing Sakurai without that caterpiller under his nose. Very handsome when clean shaven. I have loved these two guys for so long. Magnificent accoustic jazz session. So pure. Thanks so much for posting.
I'm a musician by a lot of years and i always said to my friends " if you are skilly on acoustic instrument you are REALLY skilly!" that's what happens with these 2 monsters! LOVE JAPAN MUSIC!!!!

This concert is just... sublime. Each rendition is so unique and pure. I don't know how they managed to strengthen each piace of music subtracting drums, keyboards and any sort of electric sound... this is pure magic. I love Casiopea, I wish I could have known their beautiful music before.
