Finally! Little Simz is the best rapper in the UK currently! Her Colors show 'Venom' is a must! Good work BP!

Name 1 non-UK rapper who’s better than her. I’ll wait.
@MiddleAgedBob Жыл бұрын
@@JackFate76The only rappers I can think of are the older school rappers, and even then she could hold her own with them, and with time she could surpass them. But as far as the current batch of US rappers? I can't think of any. Maybe JID? But even then I would say they are on par with each other rather than one being better. She is outstanding. I only discovered her today so I need to sit with her discography a while longer, but she is likely to end up in my top 10 favorites of all time. In the US our Golden Age of Hip Hop was the 90s and late 80s. I feel like now is the Golden Age of Hip Hop in the UK. Edit: never mind. I have been listening to her music all day now and I have to say I prefer her to JID. JID has the more impressive flow, but Simz has the more impressive songs, IMO. I am also a sucker for 90s Hip Hop and her music FEELS like 90s Hip Hop.

I think you're right that our attitude to obstacles can hinder us or inspire us. There are times though when folks are legit taken advantage of by the system, and sometimes no amount of mental reframing can change that. Enjoyed the reaction. Respect

This track gets a lot of attention because of the gravitas that the producer Inflo gives it. Simz is incredible, and her nickname is Simbi (hence Simz), but this album is named after her: Sometimes I Might Be Introvert (SIMBI). Check out the rest of this project because it only gets better.

YESSS, more Little Simz ASAP please. In the words of Kendrick Lamar: she is one of the best to do it right now. You literally cannot go wrong, she has had her last 3 albums be award nominated/winning - 3 for 3 epics pieces of work. Don’t get it twisted, Simbi is probably the best rapper in the UK right now, if she’s not in your top 5, your list is wrong. Introvert is a good introduction but not even in the top 10 best Little Simz tracks imho. And it is still this much fire! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Little Simz is unmatched at the moment imho in terms of the whole package: the expanse of her artistry in every area of what she does, a cadence, flows and narrative style of lyricism that translate and connect across countries, cultures and all ages… this woman is a King, believe. (Listen to more Simz, especially older stuff, that line will make sense 😅). Do more Simz and thank me later. You won’t be able to get enough: Boss Point & Kill Woman Venom Dead Body Good For What for starters

When she says “knocking down communities to re-up on properties” she’s referencing the gentrification of previously poor parts of London (e.g Islington, Hackney and east London in general). People are being priced out of their own communities as they are gentrified for the “suits” (as Simz calls them)

im seeing this video talking about all this classical art in pristine safe architecture depicting ppl of the past, icons of life captured, going thru moments of struggle and ecstasy and beauty,, while showing ppl today in black and white, protesting and dancing out the epic struggles and beauty they endure everyday, yet where is their representation in these institutions of culture? when is their time? its out in the streets and its now, banging on the doors for no sensible reason but with ironsure purpose, as it ever was with humanity,, i think its hard to see because its happening rn,, we dont know yet what the outcome will be, but i think most of us feel that everybody deserves to have their life slowed, relaxed down to a single image and gesture to mark the beauty in every hard and real life past passing arriving and future. the representation will be there in the future bcuz artists like little simz. i do know that. 🖼️🕸️🔦 i dunno if that makes sense or is just babble. im lil blazed🤷♂️

She's one of the greatest rappers/lyricists in the world actually. She's not like crass American female rappers, she's highly intelligent & has incredible poise & class. Her last 2 albums are masterpieces. Both worth checking out - we in the UK value word-play, we don't value the US type of bling mentality, we move with subtlety & take pride in our language & our humour. London is one of the biggest melting pots in the world but our attitude is very different to that of Americans, we don't like brash...

Okay, my comment seems to have been deleted three times now or just not posted, since trying yesterday🤷🏻♂. Hopefully, won't appear multiple times suddenly! Really pleased to see that you have finally caught onto Little Simz. I commented on one of your Ren videos last week saying that I was surprised you haven’t caught onto her. When I first heard her, I had the same reaction as to what everybody else is currently having when they first hear Ren. Then of course, I also caught on to Ren more recently ….🤯😮 You will no doubt I’ll be inundated with requests of Little Simz tracks to review. I suggest you get down that rabbit hole as quickly as you can. My suggestions:- Venom (Colors Show version) 101 FM Point and Kill Woman I love you, I hate you Offence Gorilla Hearts On Fire I could go on for a long time….. Also, you were asking about UK culture and diversity. London is probably one of the most diverse cities in the world. Perhaps you could watch the series Top Boy on Netflix, which also Little Simz stars in.

Na she was talking about communities getting Knocked down, in reference to our government, the conservatives. Since they came into power over a decade ago, they've massively cut funding to the public sector to Everything. Which has meant while we've all suffered the consequences,they've got rich from it. They call it "austerity measures" 😑 But yeh Simz is a BEAST,you've already done my favourite track of hers "Venom"(That first verse/intro is GOAT material 🤷♂️👊🏻🔥🔥🔥),but keep digging into her, definitely need to react to "Boss" tho,what you said in the venom reaction about her flipping on male rappers.....👀👊🏻

You're too tapped in with American politics to really get her. Simz is left wing in the UK, where even the 'right' of the UK is closer to your democrat party; so most people in the UK are far more left wing than the US. Our prisons aren't so much a problem for things like prison labour etc, but we have our own issues.
