We took it as far as we could before these same "Rich Men North Of Richmond" and others like them shut the movement down through those labels. The lyrics in this come hard and I had to listen about six times to start to piecing it all together. I like the way you break stuff down but I think you missed on some of your first take. This is mostly about them being independent of cancel culture, media, and government oppression. Dax is talking about how slavery sucked but culturally we need to move on and that the progress made in race relations has been undone in large part because of people being susceptible to spin from the media and government. They each highlighted why they were canceled, why they don't care, and at the same time telling us that we need to stand up and stop the things that happened to them from happening to everyone. I also think each of them threw props to Eminem (who the media and other groups tried to cancel) with the raps on the tennis court, as you noted with Adam. Keep it up!

I’m at marker 23:18 and you made me want to say that I am 3rd generation in this country my dad’s parents were first generation from Germany and my mom’s parents were first generation from Poland and Italy. Nobody in my family EVER lived here during slavery time. Now my great grand parents moved to New York during segregation times yes and I can admit to there being prejudice people in my old family, but nobody owned slaves! And yet now in today’s time I have to be worried that just because I’m white I’ve been accused of racism, or that my family owned people, and then that gets escalated and people don’t believe me when I say they’re wrong. I have to feel like I can’t just freely listen to Tom because so many people view him as racist. I’ve been a professional chef my whole life won awards in school for my food placing top, been approached by head chefs to go places and teach new employees and yet have been told by MANY people that I can’t cook cause I’m white without them even trying my food OR they were people that would always eat my food and they would still say that. AND THEN GET TOLD THAT’S NOT RACIST. HOWWWW?!?🤯 The only time I’ve ever heard someone say oh that’s white people shit was in a negative way in this day and age but I remember when it wasn’t negative like you’re saying, just like when we would all call stuff gay and everyone knew it was a joke and now that’s the worst thing you can do now.

So to get to every call (that we didn’t already know where it was) one of us drove and the other read the map books to get us to where we needed to go. Looking back, I just think THANK GOD we could read maps lol. Now with GPS it’s a lot easier, but hell I still got lost going back to my hometown (Kennesaw) after 15 years. I lived off Chastain Rd when it was just our neighborhood and an Amaco gas station haha. (Kennesaw State Uni wasn’t even thought of yet). Now I can’t find anything. I missed seeing the fields and trees and the land we used to have around us. There’s wayyyyy too many people, streets, stores and traffic. It’s not remotely the same and sometimes I wish I could see it the way it was just to have that feeling of “home” again.
