@adamarato4662 see thats what I thought as well, but someone in comments on another video mentioned Robin was, so I thought maybe I missed it. So then this should be an RC-505 Mk I (Bizkit) vs RC-505 Mk II (Robin). Regardless of equipment, it was a killer battle, and Robin answered BizKit's insane rounds with style. Also (and this is ENTIRELY conjecture on my point): I think Robin knew he wasn't going to pass, and thats why he dropped his 'I am the Lion' song so early on in the competition. *IF* true, I thought that was the classiest way to go out on his shield.

I think I replied to a previous comment of yours where I think you write they were both using the MK1. But yeah both single device MK1 vs MK2, haven’t seen Robin use additional devices (hence his whole “my boat is smaller than yours” line vs Frosty in the kickback battle.)

Still love the moment Robin is prepping his second track and looks up and sees the crowd waving their lights and has a shocked look and smiles, such a moment. BTW - both Robins tracks where from his SBX kickback battle 2021 that he competed in earlier in the year, I really would like to see you react to the SBX Kickback beatboxing and loopstation competition from 2021. Personally I thought it was a great competition with some outstanding moments 👌

Yeah, BBU and SBX Kickback were great because of the music videos, especially Robin's videos. Added an extra layer of expression and flair.

These two actually weren’t supposed to match up this early, this battle was supposed to be 1st seed vs 8th seed, but Robin’s score was miscalculated and he was put at 8th when he should have been 3rd.

Shout out to Bizkit being like, an awesome opponent. Playing into a lot of Robins moments, vibing, etc. Like some of the camera movements looked choreographed, it was so well done. Amazing battle. One of the best 👏

Only thing I don't like about this battle is that there was a problem with the audio system that prevented people from hearing themselves on stage. For someone like Robin who uses his voice a lot it made it hard to remain in tune. Especially on the second round, but usually he's flawless. Kind of a bummer since drive away is one of my favorite loopstation pieces ever.

I’m pretty sure Robin said it was because he looked up from his loop to start singing and saw the crowd waving their lights and didn’t expect that and he got choked up and had to recompose himself mid vocal

He also took a bit longer than I think he meant to, to create the loop which maybe put some time pressure on him to get through as much as he could of the routine. I think he missed a few cues to start the next part of the loop and had to wait for it to loop round again to add the next part.

Robins entire lyrics were a diss track that is battle energy outside the beat, robin just got out of an online music video style battle a week or so before gbb so he used those rounds, just to perform. He didn’t care if he won. And Bizkit has looked up to robin for his entire looping journey so his emotions were valid.. he basically beat one of his biggest idols.. robin is a looping legend in the scene.. he makes the best actual songs of anyone I think.

There was an online competition called SBX that happened before the GBB and Robin performed both these sets in that competition. So I personally think that was also a factor for the judges.

You mean KBB (Kickback Battle) which was hosted on the SBX channel (Swissbeatbox), but yes they should react to Robin's and Kristofs compilations from the event.

They was RC505 Mk1 And Mk2 allowed in 2021 and second devices. and there was just the loopstation category. in 2023 there will be loopstation category with just mk1 and mk2 and a seperate category named producer . thats where almost everything is allowed

A big thing to note, and a bit of controversy with GBB, none of the winners of these brackets get any winnings. So for a lot of these guys, the title is all they get out of it. I believe one of the reasons why you see the hugging after each round is that this community is super supportive of each other, so there is a lot of mutual respect and close friendships within the bracket. The community is super wholesome in that regards.

The Rc505 is the device they use, most have the mk1 version which is the original device. But a handful of guys had the mk2 version 2 that has many more features bc they competed in an online gbb event for loopstation in between this event and the previous live GBB. The machine had not been released to the public yet but was allowed bc they had been acquired via a gbb event, but really shouldn't have been allowed if all artists couldn't use the same device.

Robin is my favorite it so isn’t bizkits streams, but Robin won the competition with the new mk2. I think Robin lost cause those were the same rounds he had in the kbb21 , but the video is soooooo worth it. So there response and emotion is bc this is the biggest stage for what they do, and to win any round or just making the live event at all is a huge thing in itself in there world. There are now some events that have started that pay the artist for winning or top 3 or something like that. But no money for GBB.
