They're the equivalent of how the Deep South's is in America, as opposed to the rest of the country. The United Kingdom consists of England, Scotland, Wales (all Great Britain), and Northern Ireland. Southern Ireland is the Republic of Ireland. Over the past couple of years, Aitch has been blowing up everywhere.

Aitch is from Manchester in the North of England. Very different accent to London and the South. I recommend Braintax and his album 'Birofunk' for more Northern Hip Hop. It's a pretty old album (2001 I think), but it's absolutely up there for me as one of the best British Hip Hop albums. Also, you should do Roots Manuva 'Witness the Fitness' - a BIG Uk Hip Hop classic.
